Flying Fish

We have an ADR here next month, does anyone know if the Flying Fish still has counter seating that overlooks the chefs? We haven't eaten here since before the renovation but used to really enjoy sitting & watching the chefs work their magic. Thanks in advance!

I think the counter seating overlooking the Chef's might be gone, but there is definitely still counter seating at the bar, as I ate there twice back in December.

Can you just walk up for the bar seating if there's room? We have an ADR for 1 night but we're staying at the BWI & if we really like the food it might be fun to pop down & have a drink/app another time during our stay.

Yes, I walked up both times and got seated without waiting, it was wonderful and the food is delish. I'm still dreaming about the bread with little flecks of nori in it with the freshly made butter... and the Blood Orange Margarita is pretty darn good as well.

There are tables near the kitchen from which you might be able to watch the kitchen a bit. The restaurant was originally intending to reinstate the special chef’s dinners but unfortunately never did (or at least hasn’t yet). The bar does not have kitchen views but is still a great place to sit. I’ve always had outstanding service sitting there. You can just walk up. One of my favorite spots! Enjoy!!
