What are the odds, that on the Friday after Thanksgiving (11-28) if I got to Flying Fish Cafe at opening (5:30) that my DH and I would be able to sit at the counter by the kitchen? I don't have an ADR and I'm sure they would be booked at this late date anyway. I ate here with my sister in Sept. and I would love to take my DH. I am a foodie and sitting overlooking the kitchen appeals to me anyway. Has anyone walked in and done this? How was the wait and the service?

TIA

In the time you posted, you could have called to at least seen if it was open so you don't waste your trip over there. ;) I have found that if a place is completely booked reservation wise, you probalby won't have a chance walking in. Disney Dining is open right this second, no reason not to call to see.

I think you might have a good chance, even if it's fully booked. Our last time eating there, the place was packed but they were doing walkup seating at the bar. I would try to get an ADR just to be safe but I'd certainly try a walk up if that's your only chance.

Good luck.
