Anniversary dinner... narrowed down to these two. What would you choose? I have looked at the menus and there are many things on each we would both enjoy. Heading to Epcot to wander WS after so location for both is great. More focused on the food than the atmosphere but that is always a plus of course. Thank you!

I have not tried the Flying Fish, but our Father's day dinner at Yachtsman was not so great. Bad enough that we will not be back as there are so many places we like better.

We enjoy the food and service at both, doing one or the other each trip. DW usually doesn’t do seafood in restaurants if a good steak is available while I enjoy both, so for an anniversary dinner I would do Yachtsman. The steak at FF is good, but selection is better at YM.

The only reason I would go to the Yachtsman is if I wanted steak in particular (which is very, very good in fact), as our experience with the other offerings was just meh. Also, the decor and ambiance is sort of underwhelming. Flying Fish IMO, is a better overall culinary experience and sports a better atmosphere. The last dinner we had at YS happened to be for own anniversary in fact, back in December. I would definitely go back, but not for a special occasion. Our next steak dinner on property will be at Shula's, which is often regarded as the best on property.

Normally I would say Yachtsman hands down (because of a less than stellar meal at FF) but in the last few months a lot of the regular posters on this site have been giving super reviews of FF. Enough to where I am thinking of trying it again this trip.

I haven't been to Yachtsman yet so my vote was more for what I know. Still, I'd eat at FF in a NY minute if it was available.

We make 2 or 3 trips a year & eat at Yachtsman's every trip. We think the food & service are excellent. We last ate at FF in December of 2016. Everything was delicious, the steak was just as good as the Yachtsman's. We were seated along the back wall & the tables were pretty close together there. So we weren't as happy about that. But we have had a bad table at the YS in the past too. I think either one would be great, pick which ever menu appeals to you more.

I honestly can't recommend one over the other. I've been to both many times and have had many great experiences at both. I tend to book FF more often (and had a great experience there in January 2018), but my last trip to Yachtsman (April 2017) was fantastic. Yachtsman is certainly a more traditional steakhouse menu, but FF can sometimes go a little over the top with their ingredients and presentation. You can't go wrong with either one.

I have only been to the Yachtsman once, and this was probably around 2007. The steak was delicious, and along with the additional sides the meal left me stuffed. The only reason I have not gone back is I have since married, and my wife is vegetarian. I'm sure they could offer a vegetarian dish, but I don't eat enough steak to justify going there for a family dinner. However, if steak is your thing it's hard to beat the location, atmosphere, and the food.

Flying Fish is one of our favorite on property restaurants at Disney. Normally I go for their seafood offerings so I can't speak on their steaks, pork, chicken, etc... However, if you're looking for a restaurant that has excellent service & seafood then I highly recommend FF. The chef has always done a creative & inspired vegetarian dish for my DW. The tables aren't necessarily on top of each other, but if the restaurant is busy it can feel "tight". With the recent renovations the dining room is beautiful.

Both locations are priced pretty closely I would believe so it really comes down to what you're in the mood for. The Boardwalk & Beach/Yacht Club location can't be beat for walking back to Epcot for post-dinner strolls.
