Flying Fish or Spoodles?

We are on the DDP and have it worked out so that it doesn't matter for this meal if we use 1 or 2 TS. We are going to check out the Boardwalk area for the evening and so I thought of these two places. The trouble is that FF seems to get more neg. reviews than positive although its menu appeals more than Spoodles which seems a little limited? (maybe I'm wrong?). That is why I am asking for your help!
BTW we are a party of 6 with 2 well-behaved-in-finer-dining-establishment kids and 2 grandparents who love seafood but are also dining at Coral Reef and Narcoosees to take care of this.
Thanks in advance!

We love them both, but since it doesn't matter if you use 2 TS - go to Flying Fish. Everything we had there on our last trip was excellent. I had the crabcakes and potato wrapped snapper - TO DIE FOR!!!!!!!!!

I cannot vote for Flying Fish as I had one of those bad experiences there and have never gone back. So...since I have never had one of those at Spoodles and we always eat there when we go to WDW, I vote for Spoodles....it can be a bit noisy though...open kitchen, pots clanging and depending on who is working, chefs yelling out the orders..

We've been to both. We thought Spoodles was good but nothing special.

Flying Fish was wonderful! Some of the dishes we had (four adults) that were phenomenal were: The tuna two ways, the crab cakes, the calamari, the cheese sampler & the potato wrapped snapper. We had lots of appetizers & sort of passed them all around because everything was just soo good!

LOVE Flying Fish...it was wonderful!! Between 5 of us we had 6 entrees...go figure. All were GREAT...the fish and the non fish. Never been to Spoodles but if the food from their carry out window says anything...go to Flying Fish.

Flying Fish is fabulous. One of my top 5 places at WDW. You will really enjoy it there.

How is Flying Fish if you don't eat seafood? The rest of my family does, but I really don't like any of it. If it swam, I'm not eating it. Will I find anything for me?

The steak there is one of the best on property!

Thanks for everyone's thoughts! I guess it sounds like it is worth it to give FF a go. When I think back to last year's trip, the restaurants that had the most mixed reviews ended up being very pleasant surprises. We really didn't have a bad meal in 10 days (and I consider myself picky!) so I don't know why I am stressing?!
Thanks again!

I agree.........the crab cakes and potato wrapped snapper are TO DIE FOR! I'm not a seafood lover, but I had both and will be going back again, and again, and again........:thumbsup2

I love Spoodles! The food and service are great here. It was one of the best meals we had on our vacation!!
