Flying Fish or Ale & Compass?

Hi all!
Haven't been on here for many years. Our last trip as a family was in 2011. DH & I are going just the two of us (yay!) to celebrate both of us turning 50 this year - Saturday, Nov. 24 to Dec. 1 - staying off-site but attending Thursdays MVMCP and have 5-day tickets as well.
Here's my question - on our last night the Friday we wanted to have a nice dinner somewhere not in the parks - after searching availability and based on our likes I've narrowed it down to Flying Fish or Ale & Compass. Wondering if any or you folks have any strong opinions on which is better?
Both menus look very appealing and both seem to have good reviews. I just want to make the right choice!
Thanks all for your help (always appreciated it in the past!) :)

Flying Fish is much more upscale, more expensive and gets mainly great reviews.

Flying Fish is much more upscale compared to Ale and Compass. If you are looking for a special meal, I would consider Flying Fish.
If you are adventurous for food, I would also consider Jiko at AKL.

Flying Fish is AMAZING! Definitely a special meal. It is a signature restaurant, however, with a price tag to match. If you would rather not spend a ton of money, Ale & Compass is also very good. The decor at both is gorgeous and the food and service are very good.
