Flying Fish - Great Dinner 2/24

I don't usually frequent the Restaurants board so not sure if this restaurant is generally loved/hated/despised... but just wanted to say that DW and I had an unexpectedly EXCELLENT meal here this past Saturday night. We booked it on a whim that afternoon (pretty much because nothing else around the Epcot resorts or in Epcot was available), so glad that we did!

A few thoughts:

• Fantastic atmosphere and decor; it's a beautiful restaurant
• Attentive, knowledgeable waiter; excellent timing and flow of the meal
• Quite an extensive wine list
• Smaller overall food menu (which is fine with us) but just enough variety
• Portion sizes were on point - not crazy big, not too small... just right from our perspective
• Everything we ordered had well-crafted flavors and fresh ingredients

Overall, it turned into a wonderful date night meal. We will definitely try to find a way to get back here if we can ever swing another no kids trip in the near future!

I was really disappointed in FF on our last trip but since then I have read a lot of reviews like yours and now I am wondering did I just catch them on a bad night? Every restaurant has them, I am beginning to think I need to give them another try, thanks for your review.

We had a similar experience, but maybe we will give it a another shot as well!

We've enjoyed every dine we've had at FF. Service is always top notch, they pace the meal well (although I guess that is a more variable opinion, when we're paying that much we like a slower experience), food is delicious. We try to go almost every trip. Plus it's so nice to walk out onto the Boardwalk and roam after dinner, or walk over to Epcot.
