I made an ADR for Flying Fish to celebrate my nephews 7th birthday at. He loves seafood and from Disney's site the restaurant looks pretty neat inside as well. I'm looking for feedback from people that have dined there in the past. Was the seafood fresh? Was service speedy or slow? Would you go back? What did you eat and would you recommend it?

Thanks so much!!! :goodvibes

We were there with our kids (7 and 9) last Christmas Eve. Excellent meal. It's a slow meal though - it's a signature and it was probably close to 2 hours start to finish.

I actually had a special from the Christmas menu which I thought was only okay. DH had their best-known dish - the potato crusted snapper and it was excellent. Great cheese plate and wine flight, wonderful dessert too.

FF is one of the best restaurants at WDW, other than V&A's, I would say (and I haven't been there yet).

One of my favorites, but it is a leisurely meal. We've had excellent service, but the meal is not a speedy one.

The potato encrusted snapper is their signature dish.

Thanks, Vicki C! How was the ambiance inside? Also, how is their onstage kitchen? Can you watch them cook from your table or do you have to stand by their onstage kitchen? Do they have a kids menu, or do they order off of the regular menu?

Leisurely sounds good to me! After a day at Epcot, we'll walk over to Flying Fish (check out the boardwalk on our way) and I will be thankful for being able to sit. We're going to the MVMCP the night before so I'm hoping that if they sit long enough for dinner we'll be able to go back to the resort, watch a movie on the beach, watch the water parade and go to sleep (or just go back to the resort and go to sleep). :cloud9:

I'm going to try their potato encrusted snapper...I looked at their menu and it sounds delicious!

They have a kids menu. If you're on the dining plan they have to order from the kids menu.

There is seating at a counter around the open kitchen but no table seating right up against it, and yes you can watch them cook if you sit at the counter.
