Like i have advised many i will be flying down the night or day before so i can have the most of my first day at disney a full day, are there hotels near the airport that you can stay at or should i just find a chep one near disney and hail a cab in the morning, i was thinking of using priceline for the night before and getting a room for 30 bucks or so because we will just be sleeping there. I know all the great felow disney travlers can answer this,

When we drove down we had a priceline room on our first night in Orlando and our last. In between we had 6 nights at CBR. It was great and we got rooms for under $30 (including fees and taxes) at the Sleep Inn (great) and the Travel Lodge (not so great). It worked out great for us as we were driving, and did not have any transportation issues. I would definately find out how much a taxi or town car would cost for this extra "trip" to the disney resort. If you stayed at POP...you could just use Disney transportation and have them deliver your luggage. Have a great trip!!!

We are doing the exact same thing for our trip in June. We are getting in around 9:30pm and are staying at the Days Inn Airport. It is a reasonable price and the hotel has a shuttle that will pick you up at the airport and take you back to the hotel, no cost. If you'd like any more info, please PM me.

The Hyatt is located INSIDE the airport. You can just walk over and check in. It's the perfect solution for your situation.

I often like to use my first night to check out other Disney resorts. I drive though, and can often pick up a decent walk in rate at the Disney Welcome Center on I-75 on my way in.

We have flown in the night before a few times and have always used priceline. My husband would take the shuttle back to the airport in the morning to pick up a rental car, this saved us a day rental.

We actually received the Hyatt in the Airport for our upcoming trip and I think it was $37 on Priceline. Most of the airport hotels have free shuttles.

I've purposely coming in early ( around 3 pm) when our trip comes, so we can have a resort pool night....POR has an awsome pool from what i've seen so were going to veg then attack in the morning..=D

We almost always do the fly-in -the-night-before thing...we have tried several options, but for us the easiest seems to be dbid for a 3* room on Priceline in the MCO area. They all have free shuttle service to/from airport and all are nice hotels. We have never paid more than $50 for the night including tax and fees (usually mid $40's). Then one of us hops the shuttle back to the airport to pick up the rental car (although about 1/2 the time we get the Hyatt which is very nice and right inside the airport, so you just walk downstairs to leave).

Since you are not renting a car you might still want to do this, since any car service will pick you up directly from an airport hotel for the same price as the airport. And you would save the cost of a cab the next AM.

The reason we stopped trying to stay close to Disney after an evening arrival was either you wound up paying for an extra day of car rental since you had to pick up the car to get to the first hotel, or if we used a car service it added an hour or so from arrival to hotel to your time and then a cab to WDW in the AM was always an additional $15 or more.

You will get a MUCH nicer room in the MCO area for <$50/night than you will in the WDW area.

Well everyone has there own way of doing things. Personally, I have bid on priceline for hotel in the general Disney area from 3* to resort. Generally paid $30 up to $70 (dep. upon if got 3* or resort). I like to be at my hotel close to Disney the night I travel instead of picking a hotel by the airport. This way the next morning, I can wake up at 7:30, have breakfast and check out by 8:30 or 9:00, check in at Disney and be in a park by 9:40/10:00. If you stay at a hotel close to the airport, sure you save money by having the vehicle one day less but then you have to wake up early, head back to the airport to rent a vehicle and not to mention work your way through the I-4 traffic probably during peak drive time. No thanks, check in the night of travel close to Disney and sleep in a little late. Just my humble opinion.

We like to fly in the night before and do Priceline 3* MCO airport.

It was particularly nice the year we went in December because we were able to shed our coats and winter clothes at hotel and arrive at Diseny the following morning in proper vacation attire and spirit. My very organized sister had one bag packed for all of us for the hotel night and then we stuffed our coats and winter clothes into it for the duration and refilled it with our the WDW treasures we had purchased for the trip home.

We just used the free airport shuttle to get to the hotel then had the car service pick us up at hotel in the morning.

We have gotten the Marriott Renaissance once with points and once with priceline (??$36 bid if I remember correctly). Recently I had quick business trip to Orlando and got the Hyatt airport for $42 and it was wonderful.

We did this on our last trip. We used Priceline for the MCO area and got Amerisuites airport which included breakfast for $40. It worked out great.

We just did this in January--arrived at MCO @11:00pm, pricelined a 3* at MCO area for $35 (~43 w/taxes, etc). Got the Renaissance which was great.

I am fairly certain that any 3* in the MCO area on Priceline will have a free shuttle, and you may luck out and get the MCO Hyatt right in the airport.
