flying cost?

A few months ago, DH decided we would be driving from PA in order to spend more money on the actual vacation part of the vacation. While I wasn't real excited about 16 hours in a vehicle with DSS and DSD, I adjusted to the idea. Now last night when we are talking about the trip, he said we will be flying if it fits in the budget. My question is, which airlines are most likely going to be the cheapest (lowest I got right now is airtran at 890)? And is it any cheaper to fly on a Friday than a Saturday? We are looking at flying out of BWI the end of June (22 or 23 to 29 or 30). When might I get a DING for these flights? TIA

Dings for end of June are going to be a long time coming. The Dings! right now are only going thru mid-March. Friday may be cheaper to fly than Saturday. Your best bet would be to check the Southwest.com to see what the price difference in the flights will be.
