and just a couple of quick questions...

Normally, we go the AC route and fly through Toronto, clear customs etc etc...

What happens if we fly out of Halifax, into Boston or EWR, and then into MCO??

Flight lands and departs out of the same terminal - as far as I can tell...but do we have to leave security area, clear Customs, and then back to departure gate???

Last time through BOS was years ago, and have never flown through NYC before...any help is GREATLY appreciated!!:D

TIA!!

You will pre-clear US Customs and INS at YHZ prior to boarding your flight. Nothing to worry about upon arrival.

Unfortunately, YHZ does not have pre- clearance facilities for U.S. customs. I flew into BOS last October through YHZ, and upon claiming your luggage and clearing U.S. Immigration you must pass through security once again for connecting flights. Out of YHZ into BOS you would have the option of AC then transferring to United. Delta Connection would also be an option.

American is also beginning service through JFK in June. As well, Northwest will have service through Detroit in the near future as well if you wanted some other options. :)

We flew Continental a few years ago from Halifax. All I know is on the way back, we clearned customs on Halifax. I noticed that Continental has good prices for flights next March ($410.00 including taxes!) So I am tempted to book soon with them for our next trip. Please post your opinion of the airline when you return from your trip. Have a wonderful time.
