I've lived in a 150+ yr old farm house for the past 16+ yrs & have seen all kinds of bugs around here. Recently, though, we've had something new. It looks like a small fly, but has very large wings. The wings stick way out beyond the body in kind of a heart shape - not folded over each other. The entire bug is about the diameter of a pencil eraser. When it gets swatted, it leaves a mark like a moth would - but it doesn't look at all like a moth.
At 1st we only had one every day or two & I just swatted them. After about 2 wks we have at 2 dozen in our bathroom (only that room) at any given moment. So far, nothing I've used has worked to get rid of them.
So, any ideas what they might be called? I want to look up what to use to get rid of them - w/o calling an exterminator.
Thanks,
Deb
