Flyers, What Food Do You Bring?

We are flying to Orlando 4 weeks from today! I wondered what food items other Canadians bring with them.

I know I will bring some powdered laundry detergent in a screw top container. I think this time I will also bring a box or two of cereal and/or some pouches of instant oatmeal, and a small jar of peanut butter. I think bagels are also sturdy enough to handle the trip. I will also bring a jar of instant coffee (we actually prefer it, that's what we drink at home), and a small container of Becel (I find the margarine in the States tastes funny). I will pack a couple of boxes of Kraft Dinner, a pouch of instant mashed potatoes and gravy (my daughter loves them) and a pouch of flavoured rice (Uncle Ben's Natural Selections, Tomato and Basil, to be precise). We are planning on a couple of meals in the condo, but if we don't end up using this stuff I'll just bring it home. It won't take up much space so it's no big deal.

We will be staying at Sheraton Safari for the first 2 nights, and there is pretty well stocked gas station/convenience store right across the street for a case of water, juice boxes, etc. After that we will check in to Orbit One for 7 days, and I will pick up some grocery and snack items then.

Some of the items I will bring are for convenience, and some because I don't care for the comparable American product. How about you... what will you bring with you?

We will just be bringing snacks for the plane. We will be stopping at a supermarket (or WALMART) on day one to get some breakfast foods/snack foods to tie us over when we have the munchies....so we don't have to run to the store at the resort everytime.

Becel lovers here too :thumbsup2

We found Lanctancia, nope, Land O' Lakes - not the spreadable though, gets too watery on toast - was okay...

Oh well, packing/checking it is a good idea! :goodvibes

We started bringing food because ds was only 15 months old for his first trip. Honestly, it's such a hastle that we now prefer to shop for everything in Florida. It costs more money but it saves us room in the luggage and we also end up picking up treats during our shopping trip. S
