OK, my wife is going to be 10 weeks pregnant for our 9-day, split stay in BCV/VWL. We have the option to drive (both teachers, off for the summer) should i drive her or is it ok to fly in her condition?
I think the questions you need to ask yourself are things like will she be comfortable? Will it be a hassle for her to get up more frequently to use the very small airplane bathroom? Etc.
Having been pregnant twice, I would much rather fly than drive while 10 wks pregnant. I think the cutoff to fly is 32 or 34 wks pregnant, so she should be fine.
Ask her what she prefers For every pro either way there's a con, so it's totally up to you. We drove once from Illinois and did 8 days in the parks then 2 days over at VeroBeach Disney. We prefer flying so we can totally relax while at WDW, plus our car wouldn't now be able to hold all our luggage
She'll probably be more comfortable flying. With the first trimester causing frequent bathroom breaks she may find being in the car a pain if she has to stop every hour or two to pee.
With that said, it's always best to just put a phone call into her OB/GYN and run the scenario past him or her. They know your wife's condition best and can offer you the best advice.
