Flush with hand or foot?

I'm really wondering how some of you actually leave your home. I don't get why you don't just use tissue to flush, why add the germs from the floor?

But money, carts, gas station handles, store doors, trying on retail clothes, hotel germs, and can you imagine all the germs from the disney rides?

I know, I don't understand it either! What makes a bathroom so much worse? At least you get to wash your hands in there! When you touch all those other things that other people with who knows what on their hands have touched before you, who knows what ends up on YOUR hands?!

Me, I don't worry about any of it. Life's too short. And here I am still alive and very healthy. Go figure!

I don't understand why they just don't use tissue either. I use paper towels to open the door when I leave the bathroom at work. There are a few too many women who don't wash their hands afterwards.

I do both, it just depends on the restroom. If I use my hands, I usually grab some extra toilet paper and flush with that so I don't have to touch the lever. Ewwww...

OK, this thread is funny. Some of you better not ever travel to some less developed countries. You'll all freak from germs.

Especially when you hit the toilets that don't flush at all! And the ones that don't have toilet paper, either.

Yikes, just saw this thread. I use my hand. Gosh, and I WASH them afterwards also. I agree exactly with some of you....there are germs everywhere! People should use a papertowel for the grocery carts!.....what about escalator rails?....you name it, germs everywhere.....just be mindful to wash hands OFTEN.

Home-hand.

Public restrooms--foot. And it doesn't matter how high the handle is!! I'd do the can-can before I'd use my hand (don't you hate public restrooms with high flush handles??).

I usually wear backless shoes, and I've never dropped one in the toilet, but I ALMOST flung one under the barrier into the next stall when I used my foot to flush. I had to reach under the stall with my foot to quickly slide my shoe back over into my stall.

Seriously though, why not just wash your hands afterwords?

I have been a nurse working aroud severe communicatable infection for several decades and handwashing has worked well for me. Foot flushing? Come on.

If washing your hands after relieving yourself doesn't work, you are doomed anyway.

Are you guys kicking open the door, too? The lock is probably dirtier than the flusher!!!!!

I am also a foot flusher. And i wash my hands very well all the time.

Why flush with my foot? Because i don't want my face next to the toilet when it starts to flush. Those things are powerful & fast.

I've always used my foot and now I will definitely ALWAYS CONTINUE to use my foot knowing how many of you also do the same. EWWWWW!!!! The bathroom floor has to be one of the most disgusting things around....

Foot! I HATE public restrooms!!! And don't forget to turn off the water with a paper towel and open the restroom door with a paper towel! OK, I'm a freak.

I use my hand. Then I take my hand and TOUCH the same door lock that you do to go out. So your feet, to my hand to your door knob!

I wash thoroughly and when I leave the rest room and use the paper towel to open the door. I am so glad that many places are starting to put trash cans by the door so I have a place to dispose of my towel.

Flush with my foot. You have to be kidding. I would end up flat on my you know what and wouldn't be able to get up without help. I'll stick to using my hand and washing well.

I am amazed at the amount of people that use their foot to flush! If I tried that I'd end up on the floor and that would be so much worse than touching the handle!


Oh yeah, germs on the rides at Disney, can you just imagine how bad that is? we have all been behind the unwashed person in lines, just think how many of them are on the rides! They don't sanitize the seats and handles after every person, they must be crawling with germs, maybe that is why so many people say they get sick there? (Not me though), I've never got sick there or right after.
