Have been hanging out ont he boards the past week and am learning a lot :thumbsup2

I nottice that there are quiet a few diet threads on here people loosing weight and getting in shape for their Disney trips. I also saw on the other UK board (a post about being fit enough to walk around the parks) that there are quite a few "fluffy" (curvey) posters on these boards.

I am a curvey fluffy girl - big and beautiful I likes to think :cool1:. Anyone else out there like me who is happy with there fluffy weight? or am I in a minority?

Welcome to the DIS Deborah :) At the moment, I am not happy with ym weight as I have put on a few pounds since giving up smoking. Last year, though, I lost 3 stone and, while I was still 'built for comfort, not speed' (as my hubby likes to say), I felt much more comfortable than I had at size 22.

If I can lose the stone I need tog et back down to the weight (and size) I was last year then I will be happy :)

I'm perfectly happy the way I am, I moan that my **** is too big or my bellies too wobbly but I'm great so I don't really care (my **** is only matched in size by my ego!)

I'll change my mind when I see Posh Beckham or a jogger smile!

Thanks for the Welcome :)

What do you think is a good size wilma-bride? Hope that you are not planning to go all skinny - voluptuous is beautiful. Well done quiting smoking - that is so hard! So many people can't stick to it - you are a star! :thumbsup2

I am sorry but Posh Spice is disgustingly skinny find it amazing that any men find bones sticking out and no fleshy curves at all attractive... But then again if I am happy being "fluffy" I guess she has the right to be happy being "boney"...

I like the phrase built for comfort and not for speed - definitely going into my personal dictionary.

I am trying to shed quite a few pounds but chocolate and cake keeping getting in the way. I mainly want to be thinner so that I can get clothes to fit.

When I started my diet, I needed to lose about 4 stone to be a 'normal' weight for my height. I have lost 16lbs so far, and am feeling sooo much better for it :goodvibes I am going to keep going until I am at my target weight, as I know I will feel and look a lot nicer.

Its good to hear that your happy with how you look:thumbsup2
the weight you are is only a number after all,:) even though i want to lose 2 stone, i am mainly doing it not only to be slimmer but also for health reasons, i don't want to in years to come, have problems because of being overweight.

Hi Deborah :)

I to am of the fluffy persuasion myself:rolleyes1 , although not quite as fluffy as i used to be;)
But still very fluffy all the same;) In the past couple of years i have lost a few stones:thumbsup2 although i still have a few to go. I have also stopped smoking as well, which makes the slimming harder, especialy when you are craving chocolate!:rolleyes1 I also have type 2 Diabetes and since losing some weight my blood glucose levels have now evened out.

:)

Hey Deborah

Welcome to the Disboards, it's great to have you here. It is such a breath of fresh air to hear that someone is happy with the way they are. I have been a yo-yo dieter for about 20 years, and it is probably only in the last 3 months that I have realised that I'm actually not a bad size, don't get me wrong I could always do with losing that last 1/2 a stone, but to be honest, I don't think I'm going to be able to (quick pass me that bar of choccie :rotfl2: ).

Have fun on here

Mandy :)

Hi Deborah,

Welcome to the Boards!!! I think your post is fab and I think that its great to be happy with who you are. Sometimes I have found that difficult to do.

If i'm honest though i'm not happy with being fluffy but i'm 'fluffier' than most and it has always been my struggle in life. I am not very happy with my size and have been dieting for the last few months. I'm pregnant now so that's put a bit of a hamper on things but i'm having to learn to accept my body the way it is now and be good to it because its doing a very important job.

I think I will be happier at some point if i'm less fluffy (love that term!) - a healthy, curvy size 16 would make me happy :)

In the meantime I will have to keep your positive words in mind and just be happy as I am :goodvibes

Congratulations! That is fab - you should be extra proud in your curves right now: s*d the diet, look after yourself and baby and enjoy being pregnant and healthy. Pregnant women look amazing they are so curvy and beautiful and have a new life growing inside of them.

Great news well done you!

Deborah

I think it's great that you're so happy with your body image.

I don't think I've ever met anybody who is. I want to be 1/2 stone lighter, my best friend thinks I look fine. She want's to loose 1/2 stone and I think she looks great. :confused3

I'm sure even as a size 0 Posh still looks in the mirror and sees something she doesn't like.

I think she's always looking miserable because she's hungry!

::yes:: I just don't find her attractive at all. She is very bony and gaunt, and never ever ever looks happy :sad2:

ive been fluffy but i wasn't happy with myself so i decided to loose weight....now i have im much happier (especially in summer clothes )

its great that you are happy with yourself :thumbsup2 i wish i had that much self-confidence

I know what you mean Nat, I don't have much self confidence in how I look, hence me making a real effort on my diet this time.

quite fancy her husband though :rolleyes1

Now you are talkin! :cool1: :thumbsup2

Du you think that the whole "thin celebrity" thing is what makes some gorgeous yet slightly curvey women want to be thinner? Not that many people want to be as boney as Posh, just that there seems a general lot of pressure to be skiiny these days not just slim (healthy) but skinny.

Deborah

Hi Deborah and Welcome to the DIS

I am currently dieting I find when it gets to summer, I hate my weight the most. I want to wear nice things and they look horrible.

I am happy that you are happy with your weight :) I think people should do what is right for them, there is no right or wrong weight.

I hate all the Size 0 stuff :(
