I've been a floral designer for over 21 years.

I would call the florist shop directly, in the town where the recipient lives. Personal service, much better value for the money and they can suggest to you, any "in shoppe" specials they may be running. They can also tell you which are the nicest/freshest flowers in stock, on that particular day.
