Flowers on my desk this morning

It took me half an hour to see them (I was focused on my work) but I have a vase full of roses and these pink flowers that look kind of like tiger lilies (but I'm not sure what they are) on my desk. There was a memorial service here yesterday and while the minister was out getting flowers for that, he must have gotten flowers for my office too.

That pink lily is most likely called The Stargazer (white outside and pink inside/streaks). Pretty name, right? The Stargazer also has an awesome smell, although some find it overpowering.

I love flowers....used to work at a place that had Florist in the title.....really miss getting flowers, seeing flowers, talking to florists......oh, no...I digress.

The Stargazer (or any other lily) has a wicked center, though. When they open, take a tissue and pull out the pollen sacs...these are really dangerous to clothes as the stain is usually permanent. If you get it on your clothes....DO NOT BRUSH IT...get a pipe cleaner or similar type brush and brush it off.
