Flowers and Star Wars and Harry, oh my! TR started, link inside!

Sounds like a fun day at DHS!

Your school schedule sounds super busy. How much longer do you have?

Just found your PTR and loving it already! I can't wait to read more.

We will be in WDW May 14-21st at AKV...so we'll be doing the Flowers to Star Wars, too!

We stayed at CSR about 5 years ago and enjoyed it. My philosphy was/is to try out each of the resorts (now DVCs since we own that) b/c they each have their own +/-'s ... and of course that gives more incentive to go back!

If you guys like to stay up late you may want to rethink going to a park with evening EMH. The crowds can be bad for the first hour of them but they really start to thin out during the second hour as a lot of parents with younger kids begin to leave then. This is especially the case for when the parks are open past 11:00 or later. Morning EMH just seams really crowded to me as everyone will go to it as it's not at the end of a long day.

Glad your computer problem isn't going to cost a fortune!

Have you been to Sea World or Busch Gardens?

Nice plans so far! I hope they put in another Fantasmic show. It really cuts down on the crowds. I have never tried the cupcakes from Starring Rolls. Will have to give that a try next time.

I love being able to go to the second Fantasmic show, not nearly as crowded and the park is dead the hour before because everybody else is in the first show.

I first heard about the cupcakes over on the restaurants board and then I found this blog: http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2010/02/15/disney-chocolate-peanut-butter-cupcake/ :cloud9:

Classes go until the beginning of April and then exams until the end of April. Luckily or unluckily, depend on how you look at it, only two of my classes have a final exam. The other classes, the marks all come from essays. :headache:

I still have another three years of school after this year. I feel like I have been in school forever! Guess that is the problem with being silly and getting two degrees.

I would like to try all of the resorts someday, don't know is we travel to WDW enough to accomplish that though! I'll have to settle for trying all the Deluxe resorts. ;)

Not big fans of staying up late since we like to get early starts. My philosophy in park planning is to always avoid EMH. When planning out my schedule I draw up a spreadsheet of all the park hours and EMH's.

I avoid the parks with Morning EMH and Evening EMH. If a park had an EMH the day before then I plan for that park for the next day as the crowds will be lighter in theory since the resorts guests will be less likely to revisit that park the next day. It has always worked well for us and the only time we have encountered crowds was in the MK when we went for the fourth of July fireworks.

Glad your computer problem isn't going to cost a fortune!

Have you been to Sea World or Busch Gardens?

We got a message last night saying my computer was fixed and ready to get picked up. Mom and Erich are suppossed to go get it this afternoon after they get out of school/work since I am stuck in Anatomy lab until late. I'm crossing my fingers that it costs what they said it would and that everything works when I hook it back up.

Never been to Sea World or Busch Gardens in Florida. We went to Sea World in California when we were really little I believe. Then of course we have been to Busch Gardens in Williamsburg about a bazillion times since we almost always had season passes when we lived in Virginia Beach. Only problem with Busch Gardens in Florida is that Erich and Mom won't go on half the rides because they are coasters.

Looks like a great plan so far! I hope you all get to try T-Rex. I wanted to eat there, but I was afraid the dinosaurs would freak out my boys. It looks really cool though.

I like the Butterfinger Cupcake from Starring Rolls. The chocolate peanut butter one looks good, too. :thumbsup2

:cool1: I'm on board as usual.

I'm so glad Erich set us straight about your family.
I knew he was the normal one!

Loved memory lane of your TR's. I remember them all.
The photos made me crack up all over again. :rotfl::rotfl:

I see your kinda having trouble planning this time. Me too!
We have an 8 night trip coming up in April to So Cal. (DLR & San Diego)
I'm having a rough time planning.

Hello, I'm back for another update on our trip.

You all seem to be very engaged so far in this thread. So I thought I might give you a little treat as well as an update on my mothers current status.

As some of you may remember back in our second trip there was an "incident" in which Lessa almost ran over a few innocent pedestrians in the parking lot. Of course she put all the blame on them and she was very annoyed about her error. For those who don't know quite what I am talking about there is a picture below. And for those who do remember it's a refresher for you.

Now awhile ago my sister went to get her hair cut. Put wouldn't you know she messed up. She gave the wrong instructions and her hair was cut rather...short. She will of course deny this and blame it on the person who "misunderstood" her and took a lawnmower to her hair. Luckily I was able to grab a pic before she knew what was going on.

Last but now least an update on my poor departed mother. As you may know Canada is known for it's treacherous winter with below -100 degree weather and snow storms. Luckily this cold weather was able to freeze her and Alek and I were able to cryogenically freeze her. The photo's are currently in the dark room. But do not fear with Alek and my master brains we will be able to bring her back from the afterlife in time for our trip.

P.S. you get a cookie if you find the mouse ears in Lessa's room.

Lessa, your plans sound awesome so far! I love that you chose 50's PT for lunch. We loved it there! And I really hope that you get to see Fantasmic! Believe it or not, we've never seen it, so maybe one day! What did you decide about the Sea World tickets?

Thanks also for the info on the cupcakes at Starring Rolls! We will stop by and check them out!:thumbsup2

If we don't get to T-Rex on our first day I have it scheduled on another day as back-up. ;)

Chocolate and Peanut Butter are my favourite combination, absolute heaven! :cloud9:

Yep, that's right, Erich is very "normal". :rolleyes1

Yes, it has been difficult planning this time around. A longer trip was supposed to be easier to plan but instead it is much more difficult! Go figure!

Oh my good lord those cupcakes look delicious!!!!!

I know! :cloud9: Enough sugar to put you into an instant sugar high.

I can't believe you have never seen Fantasmic! You must see it on your next trip, it is wonderful. :thumbsup2

No decision on the Sea World tickets. The promo is good until the end of April so we have lots of time to make a decision. I might have to make up two itineraries, one with Sea World and one without.

You definitely should, I know I will be!

Good news! I have my computer back! :woohoo: It actually wasn't too horrible being computerless for a week. Of course I still got online once a day either at school, work or Erich's laptop but I didn't have the serious withdrawal symptoms I thought I would have. ;)

Just read that the new Star Tours is set to open on May 20th. If the rumours are right that is the first day of Star Wars Weekends. I guess my plan of riding the updated ride before the crowds of SWW are kaput unless they have a soft opening on our first DHS day.

Disney will almost certainly have soft openings...it's the best way for them to make sure the ride is up and running, CM are ready and to also work out any kinks.

My advice (and what we are planning to do) is go to DHS several days before the official opening and just go right up to the CM and ask if it is open and if not, do they know when it might open.

Don't wait until official opening day to ride -- it'll be mobbed!

I think that will be my plan too. Maybe during SWW everybody will be in line for Star Tours so the character lines will be shorter. :rolleyes1 Yeah right!

Found them!! Nice Minnie Ears. I like all cookies but oatmeal raisin. :thumbsup2

Good luck getting that cookie out of him. Mom tried to get one earlier today and she was denied.

I found them! I found them!. Isn't there a pair of Princess Minnie ears behind the purple Algen bottle on Lessa's desk? I know because all princess' have to have a pair of those, and the second pair is hanging off the monkey's arm. I would like some homemade oatmeal cookies please, and thank you Erich.

I'm glad you found them, because I couldn't spot them ANYWHERE!!! :confused3 I'm thinking from your answer you have some inside information though...... :rolleyes1
