Do the performers at the Flower Power Concerts change their set lists for each show or do they remain the same? Thanks. :)

The only one I can comment on is Arlo Guthrie. We came back for additional shows, and he played the same set each time, and in the same order, even!

We went to 2 different shows Paul Revere and the Raiders did-same songs, same order.

It depends on the performers and how many hits they had. :teeth:

The Grass Roots will do different songs (except the last two are always Temptation Eyes and Midnight Confesstion.

Peter Noone of the Hermans Hermits will do a few different songs (except the last two will always be Henry the VIII and There's a Kind of Hush.

the Buckinghams will do a few different songs (the last one being Kind of a Drag).

BJ Thomas will do a few different songs (the last one being Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head).

Usually, the performers will play all of their hits over the three performances. If they only had a few hits, then it is the same performance each time.

Where do these concerts take place and is there a schedule posted somewhere?

When we saw Arlo, we saw the first show of the evening, enjoyed it so much that we came back for all three. And this evening all three were different, he even did Alice's Restaurant full version in one of the shows. My in-laws (who didn't even know who he was) enjoyed all the shows and really liked when Arlo's son and daughter-in-law joined him for some songs.

Was that about 3-4 years ago? We saw him 2-3 years ago and his kid and spouse sang songs from their album for about half the show. For all three shows.

People around us said that he had a much better show the year before.

The concerts are at the American Pavilion in World Showcase at Epcot. Here's this years lineup:

Flower & Garden Festival: April 21 - June 11, 2006
The Nelsons April 21-24
The Buckinghams April 25-27
Gary Puckett April 28-May 1
The Grass Roots starring Rob Grill May 2-4
Paul Revere & The Raiders May 5-8
The Association May 9-11
Davy Jones May 12-15
The Tokens May 16-18
B.J. Thomas May 19-22
Felix Cavaliere's Rascals May 23-25
The Guess Who May 26-29
Tony Orlando May 30-June 1
Arlo Guthrie June 2-5
The Turtles featuring Flo & Eddie June 6-7
Herman's Hermits Starring Peter Noone June 8-11

Davy Jones is very popular and Peter Noone will be packed. There are three shows nightly and the theatre (it's open aired) will be cleared in between performances. So no staking out seats anymore for the entire day.

Those were the days :goodvibes

I understand why they did it. We were two of many that stayed for all three shows. The theatre was open all day long, so if you wanted to, you could grab a seat at noon or earlier for the first show. Actually, it was a good place to relax, sitting in the shade.

What I wish they would do now is, after they clear out the theatre, let everybody waiting in line come in and sit down. Nobody will have to stand waiting for the theatre to open up again.

Was this last year, the year before, or the year before that? Also, which day did you see him?

How long before a show will people line up?Like for instance the first show? Or will people be lined up and not get in for the first show and be lined up for the second show during the first for the second show? Thanks. :)

It really depends on the performer. When we used to be able to get into the theatre early, we would get to the theater between 3-4PM for the first show.

When the Beach Boys played in 2004 at the F&W festival, there was a substantial line already at noon.

I doubt that people who were in line couldn't get in and had to wait for the next show. I've already got in line when the line ended in Italy and got into the theatre.

I'm giong to be there when Davy Jones is performing! Yea! I was a huge Monkee fan circa 1967! Do they offer any dinner/show package like they do for the Candlelight Processional? It would be worth it to me.

NO packages.

No AP wristbands anymore.

We have been to these "Flower Power" events almost since they started, and have found, {since we always go off season] that we just let everyone stand on line and wait till the they drop the ropes, then we come waltzing in 5 minutes before the show starts and have a seat. Not in the first 20 rows mind you, but like every show at Disney, they have the volume cranked up so loud that you could stand inside the American adventure building across the way and still hear!
So, unless you still think you are a teeny bopper and need to be within grabbing distance of the performers, or you are an over the hill groupie, and want to throw your hotel room key or your underwear onto the stage, there is no need to be right on top of the acts. Thus, there is no reason to stand on line an hour ahead of time just to have your eardrums pierced.
If you are a child of the 60's, they may be punctured already, so it would behoove you to listen from The American Adventure building anyway!

Disnut8's list is different than the list from the Mickey Monitor included in another post. I cannot find anything about the concerts on the Disney site. I would really like to know who will be there 5/21-5/26. Any other official sites I might search to find the schedules?

Thanks.

DisneyMomOK--

I just went to the Disney AP holder website and the schedule that Disnut8 posted is the correct one according to the Mickey Monitor for February 2006. There is an incorrect list on another post on these boards and I also posted the correct list there.

I was nervous when I saw that other list because I am planning a weekend to see Herman's Hermits and they were not even on that list.

Hope this helps you.

I posted the list from a site that updates all the Disney entertainment every week. That site is almost never wrong. So I'd go with the info but, of course, this is Disney and things are subject to change (the official party line).

We too have found that standing in the line is a waste of time. We normally will grab a table at the outside seating area at the Liberty Inn, enjoy a beverage and wait for the crowds to be "released". Then we get in and get a good seat. Everyone will go down towards the front but even the seats in the back are great. There are trees there but they are really thin and the performers move around so much you are never really blocked from anything. The only time was when Rob Grill of the Grass Roots broke his leg and could only sit on a stool. Heck, Davy Jones came way out into the audience.

I am an obsessor about getting to shows and getting good seats and I just wait out these concerts.

Now, I just have to have the husband decide which of the free weekends we have so we can go for the concert(s). We will be there for The Guess Who over Memorial Day. Trying to fit in another one.
