Flower & Garden Festival 2016

Are the more expensive items ($6+) a snack credit or QS credit?
From my experience, they are all a snack credit if marked as part of the dining plan on the list.
Though, I would double check prior to purchasing because at the F&W there was a large item that was $11+ and it was a QS instead of snack.
I've seen the snacks go up to $8

Does anyone know when the dates for this festival are normally announced?

Planning a trip for next year and would like to hit the first week of this.
I'm not sure. But it's early march and the F&W dates just came out. Soo ... about 6/7 months? Hopefully someone else will have more info :)

At the top of this thread, next to 'Forums', click on the menu. Select 'Media'. Then sort by Most Recent to see photos of the Menu Boards with DDP signage and prices. Further down there are also topiary photos.

That would be perfect since we are planning to rent DVC points for this trip and need to do so about 7 months out. I just don't want to assume that the dates will be the same next year and then find out they've been changed. Thanks!

The 2016 dates were announced in mid-November.

Thanks! I might have to push our trip back a bit to make sure we don't go too early. I'll need to book the DVC by August I think. Also, it sounds like the opening days are pretty crowded now so maybe things will clear out a bit by week two. Of course then we get closer to spring break...

This year it runs from 3/2-5/30.
In 2015, the festival ran from 3/4-5/17.
In 2014 it was 3/5-5/18.
In 2013 it was from 3/6-5/19.

So this should give you a pretty good idea of when it will be.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate it!

I'm looking forward to watching all of this year's videos! Back when I did my horticulture internship at EPCOT in 2000 I helped with some of this. A lot has changed since then. I'm happy that they have added food booths!

This will be our first time at F&G- we are so excited! Any suggestions on what NOT to miss for a 74 year old woman who loves gardening? She will only be there one day (won't be a weekend- so no music concerts).

What about for 9 and 3 year old girls?

Are there any events for which we sign up early or must arrive early?

We have all done Epcot several times, but never F&G.

Do most people still ride all of the rides, or does seeing the festival exhibits take up most of the day?

Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

My daughter immediately jumped to the music and desert road play areas. And butterflies. We've never attended the seminars, but I would take the gardener to the Festival headquarters at Wonders of Life in FW for seminars, exhibits, and shopping. And the topiaries are all over.
