I know it’s outdoor kitchens but they don’t offer covering in the world showcase. IS it practical to try and snack around the world in the rain or is it better to find a sit down ADR for this weekend?

You can buy from the stands, but it's not the easiest to find a dry place to eat. If it's sprinkling its not too bad. We ate near UK under an umbrella, so there are spots if you look for them.

Around World Showcase, there are a few tables that have umbrellas, but not many. By the US Pavillion, there is a large covered shelter to eat under. Thats about it. If its sprinkling, its not too bad. In hard rain, we go indoors to wait it out. Most of the time the rain doesn't last too long. When we've been there, rarely did we have hard rain for more than an hour. The rain also helps clear out the park, so better for you when it stops. We've also found when its raining is a great time to stop in a lounge at one of the countries, get something to drink and relax until it stops.

Would not be very pleasant in the rain!! No way would it appeal to us having to find a 'dry' place to eat. There are more tables 'open' than those that are covered. Even the covered ones (umbrellas) would not necessarily be dry.

Last Saturday, they closed the kiosks for a few hours because of a storm probably due to lightning in the vicinity (though we didn’t hear it). While they were open, it was a pain trying to find a place to eat that was dry without water dripping into the food and drinks. The food at the smokehouse at the American pavilion was delicious but it was awful trying to eat it since the tables were full of people escaping the rain and the tables under the umbrellas were soaked.
