Does anyone know the standard hours? Do they watch little ones in the evening hours? Do they have any activities for the older "babies"?

If you go to the older navigators listed in the FAQ thread they show the hours daily. They are not open all day long. There are some times when it is only for family play too. HTH!

Does anyone know if they charge for 3 hours if you only have your child in for 2.5 hours? I know there is a 2 hr min, but it doesn't address .5 hours. TIA

From looking at old navigators it looks like they are open every night from 5:45p to midnight. Then on port days, they open early about 8a to 1p or 2p depending on excursion hours, then open back up for the night hours. On sea days they are open 10a to 2p, then the night hours.

Curious about this too. Is there a maximum of how many hours we can reserve? We are doing a 4nt in Jan.

The policy on 7 day cruises is that you can book your top three time choices. Not sure on how many spots you can book on a 3-4 day cruise. You can sign up to be on a wait list after your initial number of slots.

Have they changed this? I thought for 3/4 day cruises you could reserve up to 8 hours in advance and for 7 night cruises you could reserve up to 10 hours in advance. Have they changed it to be so many slots you can reserve regardless of the # of hours?

The policy has changed. We are on a 7 day and had 5 different days booked originally. Copied/Pasted from DCL my cruise lines page:

Allotted Hours
Minimum: 2 Hours
Maximum: 10 hours for 7-night cruises, 10 hours for 3- and 4- night cruises*

* Allotted hours for special cruise itineraries may vary.

I don't know how old you are talking but my daughter was 2 1/2 and was bored to tears in there. She said all they had was baby toys and they put a movie on and sat them in front of the TV. She was in preschool so she was used to more age geared toys/activities and on the cruise it was mostly for little babies in flounders. You can take them to the kids club and stay with them while they play

It depends on your "older" child if they like it or not. In Sept. on the Wonder DD was a little over 2 and a 1/2 and she loved it! She calles it "her club" since her sisters were in the Club and the Lab. She loved "helping" with the babies! We had her booked for two times, once while in Palo and once for spa time, but she begged to go again so we stopped in and they had room. viola! Unexpected alone time!! It was a great incentive for our January cruise to get potty trained so she could go into the "big kid" club when she was just shy of 3!

My daughter was about 2 1/2 and liked flounders. Its true that the toys are geared toward younger kids....but due to the fact that during the week there were no other toys for her to play with....the "younger" toys seemed like gold to her. Also I think that the older toddlers get more personalized attention since the sitters get alot of younger babies....less older toddlers. I chose to go on a shore excursion one day.....the sitters already had playdough and coloring planned for her that day.

I believe you are charged for the full hour even if the child is there for 1/2 hour.

3,4 and 7 night cruises allow up to 10 hours in the nursery for the length of the cruise???? This is what I read? I booked my DS for 10 hours on our 3 nighter.

It does say it is now 10 hours on all of the cruises.

DD will be 32 months when we cruise end of July. She is already potty trained and plays a lot with older kids b/c of older brothers. I've read where kids shy of 3 by about a month or so were allowed to move up to the next club. Does DD have a shot?

Since DH & I would like to do some adult activities like Palo and hitting the spa would it be better to keep her in Flounders?

Jen, I would book her Flounders time for your spa & Palo time to be on the safe side. I have read that they will allow the younger children in on a trial basis. My DS is potty trained thankfully so he will get to use the pools, but I'm not counting on him being allowed in the club. He will be 2 yrs 1 week when we sail and I think some of the activities would be over his head. We plan on taking him to the club for family time though.

My dd just turned 3 and is not potty trained. She loved Flounders, again she called it "her club" as big sister had "her club" she colored, did playdoh, painted, danced along the Wiggle's videos, and helped with the babies. I took her to the Oceanears club for a few hours, but felt it was over her head. I am glad she stayed in Flounders. The only problem is that they close from 2:30-5:45. So we had to rush back from Nassau, then we barely made it to our 6pm dseating for dining. I don't know what we would have done if we had 5:30 seating...

you can book 10 hours prior boarding, then book more hours once your on the ship.

We were just on the Mother's Day cruise aboard the Wonder. During our Palo brunch we took DD (who will be 3 in July) to the nursery. I didn't drop her off so I'm not sure what toys they had, but she loved it too. She kept asking when she could go back to the nursery to play with her "friends".
