Can someone please tell me how their experience was using the nursery. I am traveling with an eight month old and want to use it but I am alittle nervous. Any information would be great.

We were actually crazy enough to travel with our three month old last month, so we have recent experience with Flounders. Our son had never spent a moment out of my sight before the cruise, and I was very apprehensive about using the onboard nursery. In fact, before we sailed, both my mother and my sister scoffed at the idea and suggested I was a "bad mother" if I even considered dropping the baby in daycare!:o But I digress...

Our experience with Flounders was wonderful. We were on the three day Wonder and our son's primary caregivers were Mikki and Shelley, both from Great Britain. They were very energetic and enthusiastic, even late in the evenings after they had been with babies and toddlers all day. They accomodated all of our requests and assured us that our baby was in good hands. You are provided a pager, which they use if they have any questions or concerns and you are welcome to drop-in and see your child anytime you please. Your baby is always under the watchful eyes of a friendly English nanny with a warm smile and pleasant appearance. We felt comfortable with both young women.

We used the nursery for each of our three dinners, which made it nice for our older child. We were able to sit and enjoy a meal together without worry that the baby would interrupt (either us or those around us!) We also used the nursery one afternoon so we could do some serious sun time by the pool! We were all glad that Flounders was available, as it enhanced the vacation for all four of us!

Good luck and Happy Sailing!

We loved it!

We just sailed with our 10 month old and she loved the Nursery and the people there. She had no problems being dropped off and the one time we used them at night she went to sleep in her crib (We brought her in her PJs) and she barely woke up when we picked her up and took her back to the room.

I'd definatly use them again!

Thank you so much for responding. You have eased my mind and now I don't feel so guilty leaving her in babysitting.

For kids that young it is perfect...my daughter was 2 1/2 and she hated it, said it was all baby stuff and was bored there but it looked great for littler kids!
