I made a joke about the Teen Board, but it turns out that this thread did, in fact, originate on that board and was moved over by a moderator.

Given the age of the OP, perhaps we should cut a little slack.

Sorry, while this isn't a rumor it isn't really fact either. It's getting way too hot right now to stand outside holding a bunch of signs so we will temporarily put the protest on hold until October. See y'all in the fall!

We have a lot of work ahead of us in October. I mean, we need to get a lot of protesting in before it gets too cold... in November.

Actually they are turning AK Lodge, The Poly, the Contemporary and Saratoga Springs into 55 and older retirement complexes so you will have to be a resident of Florida to stay there. They are trying to attract all the folks that are being kicked out of the 55 and older mobile home parks around Disney that are being destroyed by developers.

They plan to convince everyone at The Villages to move to Disney eventually and all hotels will be 55 and older residents by 2010. Children and grandchildren from outside Florida will be the only non Florida residents allowed. They plan all time record crowds from just relatives visiting and mooching off the Florida relatives...

I heard the stipulation is that you need to be 55 and older and have exclusive residency of Florida. This will keep the numbers down.

Thanks for reporting this important news. As I was reading this thread, I really thought that WDW might actually close to all non-Floridians. I am so thankful that you were able to research and set the rest of us straight on this nonsense. Did you read the OP'S profile too? Thanks again for this information.

Personally, I think WDW might be more successful if they only allowed illegal immigrants in. But then the hotel rooms would never get cleaned.

I am a Floridian, and the only things I protested about were Ei$ners incompetence, and THAT worked because he's gone, isn't he?! And the fact that they gave the DDE to all AP holders, not just us Floridians anymore, but I lost on that one, so I'm happy, 50% of my complaints were honored!
