We would like to see the gingerbread house at the Floridian on a day when we will not be in the parks.

Where does one park to do this without having to pay the normal parking charge for park visitors ??
Are you allowed to park in the lot for resort guests? (We are staying off-site, BTW).

Without an ADR to eat you will not be permitted in to the parking lots. Park at Disney Springs and take the bus to Grand Floridian.

You can try telling the guard at the gate that you want to see the gingerbread house and they may allow you to park just to do that, but possibly not.

You can park at the resorts with an ADR, so you might consider having a meal at one of the GF restaurants.

You could also park at Disney Springs for free and take the bus to GF.

They are even more strict about parking without an ADR at the monorail resorts during the holidays. GF parking is for GF resort guests and not guests from other resorts, unless you have an ADR. As others have stated, you can take a bus from Disney Springs or make a reservation and have meal at one of GF's restaurants.

Agree. They won't let you park to GF without a room reservation or an ADR. You'll either need to park at DS and bus, or pay the fee to park at the MK/TTC lot - then it's an easy monorail to GF to enjoy the lobby.

My response is just based on my actual personal experience of visiting GF.
We were there last year during Thanksgiving week, and we had no issues driving over from POP and being let in. Every time we go to WDW at Thanksgiving, we always drive over to GF to purchase snacks from the Gingerbread house store, except for the time when we were actually staying at GF. LOL BUT, we were staying at a WDW resort and they may be more strict when coming from offsite. So, if you have the time and really want to try it, then I would go towards the middle of the day. The worst that can happen is they say no.
