This is my first post. We'll be taking our third trip to Orlando mid April. This will be our first time off-site. It will be myself, dh, ds9, ds4, dd3 and my mother. Looking for a two bedroom and liked the looks of Floridays and Worldquest. Does anyone have any info about these resorts. I read what was available on tripadvisor and this site. I'm interested in finding out about real driving times/traffic to MK in the morning. Also interested in opinions about other resorts. Thanks

We have stayed at Floridays and are going to stay at Worldquest in August. Floridays is very nice and I would definatley recommend it to others. The only thing that bothered me slightly was that I felt the kitchen/dining area was a little narrow (or the dining room table was to big for the space). But it was very nice and would definelty stay there again. We chose Worldquest based on the price and the fact that it is also new. We booked a 2 bedroom for $119 per night (directly through AAA not through the WorldQuest website). For us it came down to the price (and both resorts being new)....we couldn't pass it up.

Both resorts are in an excellent location (not far from each other). They are very close a great supermarket (near the outlets) and a quick drive to Disney (just outside the gates nearest to Old Key West). They are also a very easy drive to Seaworld and easy access to I-4 to get to Universal. I prefer to stay at resorts around their location.

We have stayed at lots of offsite villas including Marriott Grand Vista, Marriott Horizons, Hilton Grand Vacation Club Tuscany and others. All of these resorts are very nice (great locations) and I would recommend them all. I personally need High Speed Internet access in the room which they all have except for Marriott Horizons. However if I didn't need the internet access we would try to stay at Horizons again. Horizons is not quite as upscale-ish as the others but the room layouts are perfect and the resort is GREAT for young children. I also remember the beds being surprisingly comfortable. You cannot go wrong with any of the others (they are all fabulous) which is why for us it came down to price and the interest in trying something new. Just to add one more thing....we used to be DVC owners at the Boardwalk in Disney but sold our timeshare because we enjoyed these offsite places so much better. They are all bigger with more amenities and in my opinion much more centrally located.

Good luck!

I have not stayed at either resort but have booked the WorldQuest for part of our stay in July. The location is great but part of what swayed me was also including continental breakfast and snacks. There is not a lot of information out there yet about WorldQuest but I'm sure that will change with time.

Thanks milldew and calgarygary for your replies. After looking over your suggestions, i remembered that I liked Marriott Horizon's pictures but had initially discounted it due to the price. After reviewing the pictures again and reading Milldew's post we decided to book it.:cool1: Can't wait to go now. Hoping for a warm week to use the pool late afternoons. Thanks again.
