Hi

I suppose it is a bit late to be asking this as I have already booked but having just read all the bad stuff about TCD I was wondering if anyone had travelled with Florida Villas Direct. I got their number from ABTA which has to be a good sign at least!

We are flying with Virgin and have booked a villa in Calabay Parc - I know these are not the nearest but I have heard from several people that they are quite new and nice and we don't mind 20 \ 25 mins drive to disney.

Any experience of this company let me know - good or bad...

Cheers
Mel

Hi I have just replied to the 'villa agents' thread so you might want to read my post...cannot comment on Florida Villas Direct but this year we spent a couple of hours driving round all the different properties for our trip next year and Calabay Parc was the best.
If you are staying there you will not be dissapointed it is a wonderful estate.

We still prefer being near the 192 which is why we have chosen Cumbrian Lakes but Calabay Parc is still the nicest we have seen.

If this is Sun Villas Florida Direct, I have just been checking them out for inclusion in the next edition of the Brit's Guide. They check out pretty well and I am happy for them to be in the book. No-one goes in without having a pretty good 'bill of health' so to speak, but the process is constantly reviewed, so I'd be keen to get your feedback after your holiday. I am usually in touch with firms like this on a semi-regular basis, and make them aware if standards slip at any time.

Have a good time!

Simon

It's definitely called Florida Villas Direct. Based in west sussex at www.villasdirect.co.uk they seem quite good - when we eventually go I will post a trip report including my thoughts on them but that wont be til 2004 sadly.

Hi all

We stayed at Polo Park on US highway 27 in August 2002 and booked with Florida Villas Direct. We paid for a 2 bedroom condo but got a 3 bedroom which was huge!!! . The only thing we had to pay for on arrival was the $1 per day safe charge, we didn't even need to leave a security charge. Overall I would definitley use them again , friendly, courteous and efficient.
