Well Im awake and ready to go at 3.00am
Just kidding but as I had done nothing but sleep all day yesterday, Im now paying for it as Im wide awake. Turn the TV on really quietly as I dont want to wake up Vicki as she didnt get in until 11.30ish after her day out with Maddy and family, but its only a matter of time before she is telling me off and telling me to try and get back to sleep. Im absolutly starving as I havent eaten for over 24 hours and trying to get back to sleep with a rumbly tummy is really hard.
At 5.30am I eventually give up and get up and showered as quietly as I can. I am feeling really weak and in desparate need of a coffee, so I convince myself to walk the desserted corridors down to Pekachu to get a Starbucks. As I approch our room door I can see that there is a small piece of paper on the floor and pick it up and read it. It is from security telling me that while they were doing their nightly checks, they had noticed that my door was not shut properly and without waking me and any other guests that may be sleeping they had secured my door and reminded me to ensure that I make sure it is closed before retiring for the evening in future.
I was very pleased that they had, after all the thought of anybody coming into my bedroom while I slept frightened the life out of me, however thinking about it, it would have frightened whoever had come in more, seeing a 44 year old woman snoring with her mouth wide open wearing her wincy PJ's
Well it was a bit chilly that night and I was ill
I of course blamed Vicki who in turn blamed me
It was very strange walking around this huge hotel at this time in the morning and I thought it would be desserted but there were a few people up and about.
After my coffee and Krispy Kreme (I know its early but I was hungry),I was beginning to feel a bit better than I did yesterday thank goodness and realised today that I would be spending a lot of it alone, as Maddy was coming over this morning to meet Vicki and they were going to MGM and Animal Kingdom togther, so as I was'nt sure how good or how long my tummy was going to hold out, I thought it best to stay close to home and go back over to Epcot. Still cant believe that Im on day 7 of my trip report and I havent yet done Magic Kingdom,(except MNSSHP) MGM or Universal!!!!!!! We had plans later on to meet up with Kaylee, Alan and Joseph and we were all going for a quick drink and a chat with Kev, Tam, India, Georgia, Matt and Deb and Susan which I was really looking forward to.
Maddy arrived at about 9.30 and Vicki and I had been to the shop in the Dolphin and purchased a plush Minnie Mouse and Tinkerbell watch for Maddy, and a Minnie and Mickey Mug for her parents as a thank you for looking after Vicki yesterday. I also gave Vicki enough money to treat Maddy to lunch as I wouldnt have enough time later on to take her out to dinner. After thanking her parents, the girls went off to the boat dock to get the boat to MGM, and then they caught the bus to Animal Kingdom to do EE.
Maddys parents were going off shopping and kindly asked if I wanted to join them rather than be alone, however as I was'nt too sure how I would feel for the rest of the day, I declined but thanked them very much for the offer
I had an hour by the pool just to make sure I was feeling fit and well and then thought I would take a nice slow walk over to Epcot, Ive often thought how I would cope when the time comes that Vicki no longer wants to holiday with her mum and would I be brave enough to try a solo visit and after walking around on my own for about 4 hours I realised that yes I could and would when I had to.
Walked over to Future world first and thought I would give test track a spin on the single rider queue, walked straight on no probs.
Now I really look like im in desparate need for the loo here, but I was holding onto my purse, honest
I then went and had a foot long hot dog and a diet coke and sat and watched the fountain which was very nice indeed.(seems the belly is better then)
Did Spaceship earth and thought about doing the tamer version of Mission Space and very quickly changed my mind
thought I would leave that one until Vicki was with me, just in case I had some sort of reaction
Walked back over to World showcase to see if I could get Karens cat in Japan but had the same luck as last time, still grubby faces (the cats, not the people in Japan) and still a long queue, would have to come back another day. Spent a blissful couple of hours walking around taking photos, drinking the odd glass of wine and generally taking in the atmosphere of this wonderful park. Made notes of lots of places I would love to eat at next time I come. Kaylee and Alan were on the dining plan this year and to be honest I never thought Vicki and I ate enough to justify the cost, however I dont know if its because the weather is cooler in October compared to August or Im just getting better at eating
but we seem to be eating much more this year than any other time we have been here, so I am going to look into doing it the next time as I have been really impressed with the amount of food the Robbins have been able to order on the plan since being here, and I figure even if you run a little short of money at the end of your holidays then at least you dont need to starve.
Just as I was leaving I bump into Deb and gang and have a little 5 min chat and tell them I will see them all later
