I just wondering if the DDP is not available for Florida residents. I book the hotel for 4 nights / 5 days and I couldn't do DDP. Why??

I think you have to buy at least a 1 day park tickets.

I'm getting the 2 days pass for $99

Is that a special discount for Florida Residents? If not I don't see why
you couldn't get the DDP. I would call and ask why.

You can't get a the DDP because you have a room only reservation, not a package. But you can purchase the Tables In Wonderland card and get a 20% discount on table service restaurants including alcohol. You may want to try calling back and asking if they can turn your reservation into a package. then you would be eligible for the dining plans.

The only way you can buy the DP is if you get a MYW package. There is a way around this - sorta - but it isn't always very cost effective. You can buy a package with a one day ticket and the DP (but you will pay the 'rate room' hotel rate) then when you get there upgrade your tickets (and stil get the FLR discount) to however many days you need.

Really it depends on your party size and where you are staying if doing it this way will save you any money - but my guess is that it won't. There is the dining card for 20% off, but that's only for TS meals. So to me it's not worth the cost.

It's not that the plan isn't available to FL residents...it's that they are eligible for other discounts which may make the plan less attractive.

To get the plan, you have to book a MYW package which basically includes a rack rate room (not discounted) and at least a one day ticket. You can buy the one day ticket in the plan and upgrade it to anything you want.

Depending on how you eat, the DDP may or may not be better than the 20% off Tables in Wonderland card. For us, it usually comes out about even...If you like the signature restaurants, Tables in Wonderland is a better value.

There are WDTC packages that are not MYW packages, such as the AP ticketless packages.
However, the DDPs are part of WDTC packages. No WDTC package, no dining plan. (DVC being the exception.)
