Florida resident vs another offer...please help

My niece and I are going to Disney world together.. She lives in Lakeland, Florida and I live in Michigan. I talked to a agent and she said that I could make her the lead on the reservation for a discount. I was just wondering if I did that would it be a better discount or wait until the spring discounts.. Also what are the spring discounts like in early April

FL discounts are released in blocks just like the regular discounts. The regular discounted room rates for April 2015 were released at the end of December 2014. The FLR and AP rates were released at the beginning of January 2015.
