My dad lives in Florida. And he wants to buy my kids FL resident tickets for our upcoming trip. But he's probably not actually going to the parks with us. I know he has to be with us to activate their tickets. We'll likely have dinner with him the night we check into our resort, at Disney Springs. Can we activate the tickets at Disney Springs? Or do we have to activate the tickets at a park gate?

FL Resident Tickets can be activated at any Guest Relations Location (including the one at Disney Springs) or at any Park Ticket Window.

Can Florida residents buy tickets for other people that might not be Florida residents themselves?

You can buy them tickets just not Florida resident tickets

Anyone who's over the age of 18 must have their own Florida ID or proof of residency to activate and use a Florida resident ticket, regardless of who purchased it.

For minors, they simply need to be accompanied by an adult with a Florida ID or proof of residency.

Wow I did not know that ...
I am a Florida resident and my family is always asking me to get them "deals" but I tell them that they have to be residents to get resident tickets.
So what you are saying is I can buy the kids their tickets but I just have to show my drivers license and that is perfectly with in the rules ???

Hijacking the thread with a follow-up question: does the minor have to be with me to activate it? Or can I do that the next time I'm on property so it'll be ready to go for the child's visit?

Anyone utilizing a FL resident ticket must show proof of FL residency. Proof is only required for those 18 and up. If Uncle Tom wants to buy FL resident tickets for people in his family over the age 18, all of them must show proof of FL residency prior to activation.

By the rules, the child is supposed to be present for activation of the ticket. Some CMs will bend that rule, others won't.
