Florida Resident Seasonal Pass Block-Out Dates Lifted? (Update in second post!)

Anyone hear this? A friend of mine called and told me that his travel agent told him that the block out days for the Florida Resident Seasonal Pass would be lifted early this year and as of tomorrow, July 22, at 9:00 a.m. our seasonal passes will be good again! The block out days were supposed to end Aug. 18th. I figured I'd run it by my fellow Dis'ers to see if anyone else has heard this. I guess I should call and confirm this before I run off to the parks and have to go Griswald on them!

Ok, I couldn't wait. I called Disney and confirmed it. As of tomorrow the block-out dates have been lifted and I'm good to go!

We wanted to go in like 2 weeks, but decided not to since are passes wasn't good. So she talked me in to going and seeing her parent. OK DISNEY YOU REALLY REALLY OWE ME NOW.

Well, I called 1-407-WDISNEY and a CM confirmed that as of tomorrow the block-out days are lifted. My only advice to you is to call them yourself.

The passes will be good until the next block-out period statring Dec. 22, 2005.

They don't owe you anything. It's their program they can change the rules.

I just called and they said they are still blocked out until the August date. They also stated that unless you see it on an official WWD site it just is not so.

Well I posted this on the CB too and someone replied with the following...

I was just coming here to say that I had just talked to Disney on the Passholder line (407) 560-PASS and confirmed with them. Now, if I could only get a job to afford to go!

But if you don't believe it then stay home. Less crowds for me!
