FLORIDA RESIDENT 3 DAY PLAY PASS UPGRADE

Beginning on 11/26/07, Florida Resident's who have a 3 Day Play Pass can upgrade to an Annual, Seasonal or Premium Annual Pass for the difference in price of the selected AP and the 3 Day Plus Pass.

The 3 Day Plus Pass can be upgraded anytime within 6 months of it's first use. Some ticket holders will receive mailings with instructions for doing this upgrade online. You can also take your 3 Day Play Pass to a Vacation Planning Booth located at the theme parks and at Downtown Disney.

I am wondering if when you upgrade the ticket...say I use the 3 day pass on 12/14---then decide to upgrade in May...will the season pass expire on 12/14 or will it be in May?

From my experience your upgrade will expire when you activated your 3 - day pass. (12/14)

When you upgrade a MYW ticket to an AP the AP expires 1 year from the day you used the MYW ticket for the first time.

I would imagine it would be the same policy with the Florida pass

I bought the 3 day pass last January and then upgraded to a seasonal pass in May.

My expiration date is January 12th, the first day I used the 3 day pass.

(BTW, does anyone know how much a renewal is for the seasonal pass?)

How is this 'new' upgrade policy different than it's ever been? You could always upgrade a 3-day Play to a Seasonal or AP and just pay the difference. The catch was just that it had to be done within the first 6 months and the expiration date was 1 year from the first use of the ticket.
