Florida now has a Stay-at-Home Order

So 30 days, starting Friday, 4/3. Ok, I think I may now officially let go of my early May reservation (5/1-5/6) at Beach Club Villas with Epcot Moonlight Magic. Sigh. It was such a lovely vacation plan.

Yeah, we had been holding out with fingers crossed. We have 4 nights studio at BWV and then 3 nights 1 bedroom club level at AKL, finishing with a one night studio stay at Jumbo. First time ever splurging on a 1 bedroom just for the two of us and first time with club level.

Small potatoes when viewing the big picture, but still, we were looking forward to it.

I have holding points and I cancelled the MM and moved my vacation ahead two weeks, so I now begin May 16, but I am not having much hope for that stay either.

I'm glad. I am really worried about the people of Florida.
Me, too. The stories coming out of NY hospitals are horrifying. If the surge in cases coming to Florida is even close to what is happening in NY, thousands will die. I look for the stay-at -home order to be extended.

Yeah all the current models are assuming stay at home until end of may.... and even THOSE models are bleak.

We do to in Georgia starting on Friday I think. I am wondering when a national order will be called? This is effecting my mental health something awful. But I can't imagine being on the front lines of this having to fight it everyday. My husband is an EE and his plant has gotten orders to provide flooring for makeshift hospitals if need be. I think his company is going to donate them. I am very fear full he will get and bring it home to me and our daughter.

After looking at the metrics that chart the virus, fla won’t be at apex until about May 1st. Follow that with a possible resurgence in flu season, it just appears to be months away. For the possibility to feel comfortable with a Disney return,
We ll be waiting it out ...till then.
Stay Safe, Stay In.

THANKS to all those on the front lines across the nation.

It’s scary, I understand. My niece is pregnant, her hubby literally enters the house, strips, scrubs/showers and then moves forward with their night.
They are quite nervous too. Just follow
Suggestions of WHO, CDC and be vigilant. It’s all any of us can do
Stay well !!

I bought some Elderberry gummies and some other type gummies to help boost immune system. And a bottle of Vitamin D.

I am still in Panama City Beach, Florida. For over a month, I kept modifying my flight home because of the CDC warnings. And the warnings and deaths kept getting worse.

And now Florida and Georgia curve may peak when I fly back to Atlanta.

I still feel okay for my age and medical conditions with no COVID-10 symptoms, thank goodness.

But I have been staying in my resort's rental studio for over a month being careful. At least I have a balcony view of the ocean from my balcony.

The beaches have been closed, the resort is almost completely empty since then. I can see from my front door empty hotel parking lots completely empty of cars when they were completely full over two weeks ago with Spring breakers.

Today the Fulton County Health Department of Atlanta, Georgia said this violation will constitute a misdemeanor and will start enforcement of up $1,000.00 per violation and up to 12-months in jail per violation.

Atlanta is mostly located in Fulton County and my home is located there.

Below is the Daily COVID-19 file of the Fulton County stats.

^ Are you able to stay put longer? I think I would.

Hi, bobbiwoz. As the news is getting worse each day I am checking the resort owner's website for availability. There are almost three more weeks open because of cancelations.

I moved my early May to the last week of May. Then I cancelled that yesterday and modified my bookings for Oct, Nov and Jan. Dec will stay the same. And I still have enough points to book for next May.

Here on Marco they closed all the public beach access points, but left the beach open to condos, hotels and timeshares on the beach. So if you aren't living on the beach, you don't get to use the beach. The City Council had a meeting on Monday to discuss the issue, but they decided to keep the beach open to people living along the beach. Everyone else? Too bad, suckers. Maybe it will change with the Governor's announcement. He also said that all rentals starting March 29 should have been cancelled and none rescheduled before the end of April. Rentals did not include hotels, timeshares or resorts. Mostly individual rentals, like DVC owners renting out reservations. But with no beach access, people are cancelling. No restaurants are open for dining, just pick up or delivery. None of the beach stores are open. I was surprised that marinas are still open.

PCB has the same restrictions and there are hardly any people around.

I think that’s good for you, right?

Deb & Bill, here in Cape May NJ, there are no houses or condos on the beach. They closed the promenade along the sand, and the entire beach earlier this week.
