Florida Helicopters

Hi! I am not sure if this is the right 'area' to ask my question, but I was wondering if anyone has taken a helicopter ride with this company, was it worth it (I am looking into taking my boyfriend when we go to WDW, for the package of $250) I am already giving him the Richard Petty Experience but I figure the helicopter is something we both can do. We're going for our 25th birthdays. Thanks for any help!

There are several helicopter companies in the area and Air Florida Helicopters on I-Drive (right next to Train Land) are one of the busiest. They offer a number of different tours, from a basic 20-minute flight over the I-Drive area to a grand tour of central Florida. However, they are NOT allowed into Disney airspace any more, which cuts out some of the attraction and, for my money, I would pay the extra and take an early-morning balloon flight with someone like Orange Blossom Balloons or Blue Water Balloons. It is a truly magnificent ride and wonderful as a couple's adventure together.

Yes, check out www.orangeblossomballoons.com and www.bluewaterballoons.com. Both come highly recommended from personal experience and it really is something you'll always remember. Balloon flights are nearly always done first thing in the morning (like about 6am - the only real drawback), but you get a truly fabulous view of the area and some fascinating glimpses into some of the attractions if you're lucky.
