Florida Car Hire/Refused voucher

Having had a car hire voucher refused form Hire 4 Lower in May I can sympathise with this

I had paid over £300 for a 9-seater in Alicante half term dates! What upset me most was there was no way of geetting a 9-seater without one having been pre-booked.

I would now rather book directly with the car company even if it costs me more money

It's OK, Hire 4 Lower/Autos Abroad (and various other names) has gone into liquidation now

Is this the same company as www.floridacarhire.com ? They also seem to have www.orlandovillas.com as an agent. Their website is still working.

Is there a thread that explains this in full?

I just spoke with the owners of www.orlandovillas.com and they confirmed what I originally thought that they have nothing to do with this company at all. They are direct agents for the car hire company - Dollar.
Hope this clarifies the situation.

Florida car hire went in to insolvency. I have a copy of the paperwork here. Global leisure cars also were involved. Both companies were owned by Holiday Cars LTD. Apparently someone has bought the trading name GLC and FCH. They will not honour and vouchers but will sell you more of the same. Tracking things deep down trading addresses are the same and it seems to be a bit of a side step.

I would avoid floridacarhire completely. Not worth the hassel.
