Quick question, if I buy the Florida Annual Pass, when does it start? When you first use it or when its purchased?

it begins the day you pick up the physical pass from the ticket booth at WDW

All annual passes start the first day you go through the turnstiles with them.

From the website ... Florida Resident entitles one (1) guest admission to BOTH Universal Studios Florida™ and Universal’s Islands of Adventure™ theme parks for a one (1) year period beginning and including the first day this pass is used

Remember that many people go to the “new posts” section and click from there. Many don’t notice “where” they are. Totally honest mistake.

If only the dis didn’t have that or the sponsored posts that take you to ancient posts.

Just purchased 2 Silver Annual Passes for my husband and myself. Since we are staying for a week in January, its is well worth it.
