HI. I saw that bouquets for the other girls in the wedding, like my MOH are $125!!! Are there any cheaper alternatives? Does Disney offer anything cheaper or can we bring some of our own?
Thanks!

We're having the girls carry a long stemmed giant calla lily in the crook of their arm. The stem is being wrapped in ribbon with a swarovski closure, and there will be a trio of peacock feathers fanned our behind the bloom.

Only $30 a piece.

We're doing silk flowers because we needed a ton for our 16 attendants. I got all of our flowers, including my toss bouqet, for $150.

Ooh that sounds awesome - what are your wedding colors? Are they in the peacock family? (Doesn't sound right, but the only way I could think of to say it!)

Presentation roses (a single stem with some froofy stuff around it) are $20, and double presentation roses are $30. You could also do rose wands, which have fewer flowers than a full bouquet and are less expensive. :thumbsup2

Our Bridemaids carried small bouquets from an outside florist. We had a DCL VR, but found the same thing..they wanted $125 for each one.
They were sent to the ship and I imagine you could have them sent to your room

Oh yeah - if you can find an outside florist who's willing to do a small order just for those bouquets, you may be able to get a better price. Also, if you tell your Disney floral event planner a price range you were hoping for, like $75/bouquet instead of $125, she can suggest ways to get the price down.

Lol Carrie - is that a technical term?

Yes, along with the whatchamacallits and doo-dads that they can add to your bouquet. Just be careful - the doo-dads really add up! :rotfl:

Lol at all the technical terms!!

I love the sound of the giant calla lily as I'm having calla lilies for my bouquet - definitely much more afordable and sonds gorgeous, too :yay:

LOL, our wedding colours are indeed in the peacock family. We're sort of going with that colour palate instead of just having one or two colours.

Yes, we like it too! It's much easier on the budget.

Laura suggested it as a solution because we're only having two attendants - Maid of Honour and "Best Woman". We thought it didn't make sense for the "Best Woman" to have a bouquet, but a bout would look weird. This way both the attendants will have flowers, and look balanced.

Question: our kids are going to be our MoH and our best man. My neighbor suggested a wrist corsage for DD. Do I need a boutineer (sp?) for DS?

Since we're having an outdoor wedding, Disney must provide the floral - is that still true if we used silk? Or do they only have to provide floral if I give my kids real floral? Thanks!

You should be OK to bring your own personal floral (corsages, boutonnieres, etc.) - real or silk. It's the floral decorations (swagging, altarpieces, etc.) that Disney is cracking down on.

Thanks! I have the contract to sign & return with my deposit, but it's not clear on that part. It just says "you must order add'tl flowers, linens and decor through one of the Disney Entities if the ceremony or celebration is held outdoors or in a public viewing area", so I wasn't sure if that applied to silk flowers vs. real ones.
