Ok, so I love flowers, but of course am on a tight budget like many of us.

What did you spend on your flowers for your wedding? Did you use Disney/Outside Florist?

I contacted raining roses from recommendations here, but am wondering what I should set my budget at. There will be about 50 guests at my wedding. Thanks!! ::MinnieMo

There's a thread in here called share your budget, and people have posted their beo's, including floral.

We're going to be on a tight budget as well and will try to spend minimal amounts on decor. One thing to consider is to use venues that won't need a lot of decor because of existing theming. I would expect that a ballroom would probably need more, but a place like the attic or Ariel's would not need nearly as much.

Thanks :) I did find that and it has been very helpful.

I really love flowers so I'm trying to cut out somewhere else give us a little more wiggle room for floral. :) I was gonna do Ariel's, but my planner advised I use a ballroom just bc my DF and my family love to dance!

Ariel's has a dance floor. I'm not sure how big it is, but it occupies a lot of the lowest of Ariel's three levels. But if a lot of you want to dance, it may not be big enough.

I just got my floral BEO yesterday. My bouquet is $300 and it's on the small side (calla lilies, mini calla lilies, mini gerbera daisies, orchids, another flower I can't think of the name of, and greenery).

We are having two pedestals to define our "altar" area (we are in Canada so there's no altar), and flower arrangements on top of that. The floral arrangements are in 8" vases and cost $200 each. Same floral as bouquet but no calla lilies. The vase rental is under $10 each.

Our centerpieces for cocktail tables and tallboys are a simple stem of orchids in a taller vase. The orchid stems are $7.50 each, with about $7 for vase rental.

Our brunch table (big round tables) centerpieces are 8"x8" for $150 each. Same floral and greenery as above, no calla lilies.

So it really just depends on how big you want to go and what flowers. A certain type of flower wasn't important to me, so I told the florist to give me what she recommends for orange and pink flowers. She showed me a bunch of flashcards for season flowers in those colors and I told her which ones I liked and which ones not so much. So I think it helped that I didn't want some of more popular wedding flowers that cost more (roses, hydrangeas, peonies, etc.).

We are keeping things pretty simple (no parent/grandparent flowers, we only have a best man each and no flower for them, centerpieces are not extravagant or over the top) and flowers are about $1,400 total. Hope this helps, even a bit!

We're working with Lee Forrest Designs for our floral. What we're doing is very simple. No reception centerpieces, no boutonnières, no corsages for the moms. It's my bouquet, the two bouquets for the maids of honor, and petals along the aisle. We're paying a total of $505 with tax and delivery. Below is the description of our bouquets:

BRIDE: Hand tied bouquet of mostly ivory flowers—ivory peonies, stock, anemones, white callas, ranunculus, tulips, white dendrobium orchids, etc.— **attach client’s brooch to stems--wrap stems in blush satin ribbon.

2 MAIDS OF HONOR: Smaller hand tied bouquets similar to bride’s bouquet but no peonies— stock, anemones, Picasso callas, ranunculus, tulips, white dendrobium orchids, etc.—wrap stems in plum ribbon.

AISLE PETALS: Fresh ivory and blush petals scattered length of 15ft. aisle.

I appreciate this thread too---I have read the BEO's but hearing about more specifics such as size and type of flowers is VERY helpful. I'm a bit apprehensive about floral/decor. We are doing the WP and Ariels. I know with Ariels we must use Disney floral---but wondering about the WP. From what I've read it seems I can use outdoor vendors for chapel and bride/bridemaids flowers ?? Is it really less expensive to go with offiste florist for this ? Our planning session is Sept 25 and we're just trying to be prepared.

In the wedding pavilion, you can use outside florist for personal flowers (bouquet, men's floral). Any decor elements must be provided by Disney.
