i feel most comfortable in flip-flops, buuuuttt- anyone's worn them in the parks before and had a problem?? should i FINALLY break down and get crocs.....? LOL- as it is, i'm packing tennis shoes, flipflops and water shoes..... too much?

I love wearing flip flops but you know what I hate? When someone walks too close behind you and treads on the back of them  OUCH!

Don't think I would chance wearing them to do the parks. I tend to go with the tennis shoes.

Flipflops are the only thing I wear at WDW. If that is what you are used to wearing, your feet will be the most comfortable in them - your feet are cool, comfortable and it doesn't matter if they get wet on the water rides!!!!
My feet always do the happy dance in flipflops at disney.

My favorite flip flops are from J. Crew. I can't recall the name, but mine have cloth strips with flamingos on them. They actually come with many different prints on them. They are black-soled and about an inch thick. They are very cushiony and very comfortable. Last year, when I went to Las Vegas, the sandals I was wearing were bothering my feet. I switched to the flip flops. I wore them all over Vegas for several days. Never had a problem.

I wear my Teva flip flops the entire time and I am the most comfortable girl in DW!!!!!!!!

My Teva Mush flipflops have made several trips to WDW and will be going back in 13 days and again in Sept. I've carried both tennis shoes (ouch!) and different styles of Crocs, but usually wind up in my Tevas. I just recently bought the Croc Athens flip flops and will be packing them too. I've been wearing them around here for about a week and while OK, my Teva Mush are still more comfortable.

My mother swears by her Crocs, but this past Saturday I bought her a pair of the Teva Mush flip flops and had her wear them for a day. Now she agrees that Teva Mush flip flops are the way to go.

:yay: I have the Jcrew flip flops with the Ladybugs on them!!! SO comfy!! But for WDW I'm going to have to go with the Birkenstocks...I got a brand new pair the other day, put them on out of the box and went on a power shopping trip with my sister to Manhattan...all day, six hours on my feet in the busiest city in the world...not a blister, not an ache, not a complaint from me...in brand spanking new birkenstocks on their very first outing!!!

they are without a doubt the most amazing shoes on the face of the planet!! I am anxiously awaiting a pair from Germany right this second!!! :rotfl:

seriously though...birks are the best shoes out there IMO!!!

I broke down and bough the Mush flip flops last year and we disappointed. They really didn't feel like the supported my feet. I have real high arches, so maybe that's the problem.

I just got to Croc Flip Flops and they are SO comfy! I'm a dancer and after a 5 hour long rehearsal, these feel so good on my feet. I haven't worn them for an extended period of time, so I'll have to try them out before I got to DW in them. But for now, these are the best flip flops ever!

I bought a pair of flip flops made by Cobian over the weekend. They are so comfy! They have a very soft bottom that molds to your foot, and a waterproof material for the top part. That is what I will be wearing when we go in June! :cool1:

I wear flippers all the time. I love to wear them at WDW...I bring of course my tennis shoes just for that one day i'm like "yep feeling like the shoes today" but mostly I wear the flippers. I have bought rainbow flippers since I was little. There kinda expensive but there so comfortable. After a while they form to your feet so it makes for a great walking flipper...

Another vote for flip flops! But don't go with the cheap-o ones, invest in some good quality flips.

I got some Nike flips last year for about $22 (the upper part is made from a neoprene-type material and is very comfy - it's material like scuba suits are made from). Wore them all summer and LOVED them. They were a life-saver at WDW when my tennies cause a huge blister on the bottom of my toe. All of my other tennies rubbed the blister for two days, then I thought to change to my flips. Wore them the rest of the trip without any problem!

I too want to hear everyone's recommendations for the world's most comfortable flip flops. I am a flip flop girl through and through and want to purchase a good pair for my upcoming trip. :teeth:

On our last trip I wore just an el cheapo pair of flip flops from old navy the entire trip, and I was fine...They were already pretty much molded to my feet, so I'd suggest just wearing a pair that you're comfortable in.

littleladykaty, which Birks do you wear in WDW? Do you wear the two or three stap backless sandle types or the clog typ? I love my Birks! Think I may bring them this time. I have a pair of two strap Birk sandles coming any day now from Germany (with the soft footbed!)!!!!! :thumbsup2

I love Old Navy Flip Flops!! That is what I am going to wear when I go to DisneyLAND! I wore Birkenstocks last time I was there for a week in the summer and got major blisters. But then I bought a pair of flip flops for 17 dollars :( I know cry... But anyways that was so much more comfratable then the Birks. Also I am never and I mean NEVER going to buy a pair of flip flops for $17 again! lol

Reefs, Reefs, Reefs. I'm so dependent that when I saw a pair in DTD in my size, I had no choice but to add them to the pile. They're comfortable as a sneaker, and my reconstructed ankle does not ache after spending the day shlepping in them.

Crocs are #1 for me. I love my crocs flip flops! Got 2 pair this year. Last year I bought Newalks by Birkenstock. They were good too. They cost less than the Crocs but I cannot find them anywhere. Have to order from Germany! If your feet get dirty or wet just find a bathroom and rinse them off and dry them and everything is fresh! Looove it! No more sweaty feet!

I would never go without my Teva Terra-Fi sandals. The things are virtually invincible to everything, they dry extremely fast if soaked on rides.

I switched to Teva like 10 years ago. I was wearing el cheapo KMart sandles in Great Adventure, and the strap pulled out. I had to try tape, rubber bands, and anything else they could give me all day long. Teva's are pricey but well worth the money.
