Well, Miranda, having read your nasty post before you deleted it...I would just like to remind you that "your" great country is also "my" great country...and contrary to what some rigid thinkers may have forgotten, the country was founded on free speech, free thinking, and the art of debate. Don't tell someone to leave the country because they don't happen to like the guy you voted for. That's why our democracy holds free elections every four years...if you want a monarchy, then get out of "my" country.

I am not getting into a political debate here, but I am going to stand up for myself since you have chosen to pick on me. You decided to, seeing that I had decided not to post off topic once I had already posted, take what I said out of context in order to get people against me. I wish I had left the post there now, because you are trying to trick people into thinking what I said was bad. I did not liking being jumped on and having the state of Florida (including myself) blamed for the "poor state" the other poster said the country is in. I love my country..... yes, I said my country. Saying "my country" does not mean it is not someone else's country. I did not tell him to leave because he doesn't like who I voted for. I said, "If you think the country is in such turmoil, you can leave." I did not mean it in a rude way.

You have been after me since I posted something you didn't like. I can take you criticism, but that was a cheap shot when you tried to make the original post (which I deleted) seem like something it wasn't.

I am leaving this thread because I am not here to make people feel uncomfortable. I do not like the fighting and you are way overboard with what you just did. I got off topic, realized it, deleted the post, you responded and I had to stand up for myself.

GOOD BYE! I am sure you will be happy.....

To the other posters in this board- I apologize for getting off topic or if I offended anyone. All I have left to say is: Yes, I think people should wear flip flops in the park if thats what makes them comfortable. :teeth:

Don't worry Miranda, you haven't offended me!

On behalf of all people who love FFs (or should we say, all of us women who are "freakin nuts"), thanks for defending our shoe of choice so eloquently. Isn't it hysterical that it even needed defending?! :rotfl2:

I guess I'm one of the most reviled women in America by the "Flip Flop Hate-as" as I currently own 14 pairs of flip flops! :earseek: Nope, I don't wear them to church or weddings, but I don't hesitate to wear them to the mall or even (gasp) Disney World. Maybe it's because I live in the "poor state" of Louisiana! :rotfl:
