flip flop/sandal type shoes ok on certain rides?

On the Hulk and other "seat suspending" type rides, are flip flop type sandals ok? Do you hold them or store them?

Hulk is a regular coaster so you would keep your shoes on but on Dragon Challenge you would hold or sit on them.

Wear them as normal on Hulk and Rockit. Sit on them for Forbidden Journey and Dragons.

I wear flip flops however they are Merrell sandals. They form fit. I only sit on them for Dragon's. I bet I wouldnt have to but feet flying free makes me do it!
