Flint MI Airport?

Hi there, I have been checking airfares for NEXT October...LOL...obsessive I know! and there are flight times I like with Airtran out of Flint MI.

Detroit or Flint is roughly same distance for me to drive to and was wondering if anyone has been to this airport, any experiences etc....hotels nearby??

We have flown out of Flint a few times and LOVE it!!! It is a small airport (about the size of London) and very easy to get to, right off the highway. Large, inexpensive parking available with shuttles to the airport. Much easier to navigate then Detroit. I think there are hotels close, but we have never stayed in any of them.

WOW..I am so excited!! I hate driving in Detroit and last time used RobertQ to take us from London to Detroit airport....been away from city driving for too long..LOL...

BUT..I CAN handle Flint I am sure...drove by there on way to the Christmas place(can't remember name) and didn't have any probs.

Flint sounds great and they have an Airtran flight that leaves at 7 Am and gets us into Orlando at 9:30!!

You don't actually go anywhere near Flint. It is right off the exit and is soo easy to get to. We've flown with Air Tran out of Flint and would do it again in a minute! Sounds like you have a great trip planned. Are you doing the Disney cruise?

I am so looking forward to this trip.One of my triplets just LOVES HArry Potter so we started planning a trip around going to Unversal..LOL...it has now gone from 5 days at Universal to this...

2 nights at Disneys Contemporary MK tower view with 1 day at Epcot and the Halloween night MNSSHP
5 nights at Universal
7 day Carnival cruise on brand new ship(Dream ) in a Spa Suite!! We could have done Disney Cruise for what it is costing!

This DD loves her luxury...last time we went in March of this year we stayed at Pop and she said"next time we go to Disney I want a room that opens up on the inside of the hotel"

She works at McDonalds and is paying her own way! and keeps adding to vacation both in days and luxury..at this point I think I am just along for the ride

She is so cute tho'..I have ALWAYS wanted to stay at the Contemoray and she said this trip I want to make your dream come true...lets do it Mom
