Just in case anybody is interested Airtran just released sale prices until mid Feb. You have to book by September 1. They are the lowest I have seen in a long time!!

I wish I could reach through my monitor and give you a big cyber hug for the heads up an hour ago!!! I purchased our tix. Thank you! Thank you! In our area, fares don't get any better than that.

im so upset! we booked our tix 2 weeks ago when the fares had just came out! now they are 90 bucks cheaper and we would have to pay 100 to change them so that doenst' make sense! boo hiss, shoulda waited!

I did the same thing. I booked 2 weeks ago and paid $120. more per ticket. I called AirTran and told them that I wanted the cheeper price. They told me that they couldn't refund the difference but that they could give me credit (they also told me that they don't advertise this policy). It has to be used in the next year. I guess that is better than nothing. We can use it for another flight (maybe another cruise )

so explain to me exactly how that works please. they gave you 120 credit towards your next flight w/in the year? or did you have to purchase tickets for next year w/ a 120 discount? thanks, i will definitly be calling back now.

I was keeping everything the same (same dates/times). I just wanted the difference in the price. When I called, they told me that would give me airline credit for the difference. The credit had to be used within one year. The man that I talked to told me that I could use it to purchase anther flight at anytime in the next year or that I could use it to upgrade our current flight to "biz class" for $35./person if there were seats available the day that we fly out (we can't look into this possibility until we check in). Anyway, I would definately call.

just tried to do it and they said they wont do it b/c it will still cost me money. makes no sense but whatever. oh well. im out 90 bucks. coulda used it for the spa
