Hope someone may be able to offer assistance here x I am really wanting to fly out to the States in July but for 1 week to see a gorgeous old school friend who has emigrated to Oklahoma City .

I'm getting quotes in with the likes of Orbitz and Skyscanner but I'm looking at £1000 return. It so is never going to happen at that price! What are they thinking!!!

Does anyone happen to have the details of any other search engines or ideas to try and reduce this flight cost at all please? Thank you x

I used net flights when I went in October and a return flight, albeit with a stop in Atlanta was just over £600. I booked about 5 months in advance and it was out of school holidays.

Flight from Dublin to Oklahoma for Saturday 17th May return 24th May

Leave Dublin at 11.30 am and Arrive in Oklahoma at 20.30 Sat ( Via Chicago )

Depart Oklahoma Sat 24th at 12.20pm & arrive in Dublin SUNDAY 25th

at 05.15 am Via Chicago .

Cost EURO 857

NOW try BA, American Airlines , United , & Virgin

We are flying to Cincinnati in April to see some friends we met on a disney cruise. Flights were about £600 each return and that's in school holidays.
We used kayak to compare then booked direct with Air France

It may be that because Oklahoma City is small, the flights are more expensive. Dallas Fort Worth and Tulsa might be better places to look to fly to. Anything around £750 would be a good deal in July, though.

Thank you for all the replies. I am looking to go on July 11th for one week. I have an extra leg as need to come from the Channel Islands first (Jersey).

I can't believe the prices, like you said maybe flying into Dallas or somewhere might be a better option x I'll take a look x Thank you x
