We will be travelling to WDW on 20 -26 Mar.

We planned to take a NS flight from Boston since it may be quite tortoreous to take connecting flights as we are travelling with 2 young children.

It seems to me that only Delta and Jetblue offers NS flights but it costs around $300 pp for a RT.

We have just been here for a short while so not too familiar with the domestic flight market/system etc.

Wonder if it is too early to reserve tickets for the trip and if tickets do get cheaper nearer the dates...etc.

Any advice will be appreciated.

BTW, is taking the Mears shuttle cheaper than taking a cab from the airport to WDW? For our case, we should be paying $27 for each trip.

Thanks ahead :)

Welcome Siew

I cannot help you with the second question but I can give you advice on the airline. We are flying via Jet Blue and I was able to get NS tickets for $160 per person for round trip from Boston for our October trip. $300 per person sounds like a lot even for a NS flight I checked jetblue web site and they still have some $94.00 and $79.00 dollar tickets for your dates. Another option for you may be Song they have flights starting at $100 per person. I’m sure there will be plenty of other people around with great rates but this here should help you get started! Good luck and have enjoy the boards!

At least for the discount airlines like JetBlue and Song, the later it gets, the higher the price. In Feb, March and April (school vacation/ spring break times) it is nearly always going to be more. Given that we're only a month away from your projected flight times, you are going to be paying more bcs the cheaper seat have already been sold to folks like Mainewmn and myself, who plan waaaay ahead (and we Mainers are cheap by nature anyway:p ). Check both the Song and especially the JetBlue websites for fares (the latter does not list on Orbitz, Travelocity, etc.).

Also, since you are going to be four ppl going MCO - WDW and back, it may be a better deal to hire a towncar service; and then you won't be beholden to Mears and have to ride a Bus. A cab is probably cheaper than Mears.

Good luck, and have a great time.

We just had major luck booking tickets yesterday for travel on 2/20, we got a rate of only 620.00 for the 4 of us. It worked out to 69.00 each way, we were planning on driving but for that price I coudn't pass it up.

To the OP keep trying maybe you'll luck out too! Good Luck!!

I just put in your dates for travel on the Jet Blue site and it spit out these rates-

For March 20-

6:45am- 224.00 per person.
11:10am- 194.00
2:25pm- 134.00
7:40pm- 94.00

For March 26-
7:45am- 79.00
10:45am- 94.00
3:10pm-114.00
5:25pm-134.00

Hope that helps!!

Siew, i believe it would be to your advantage to reserve a limo with one the companies discussed on this site. You will get there quicker and more relaxed and won't have to worry about all the stops that Mears will be making enroute to your destination. You'll save money too!:bounce:

Hi

Thanks to all replies.

Anyway, just found out that Delta ticket price just shot up to $400!

Looks like Jet Blue is the other option...what kind of planes they have...i am afraid of small ones... kind of bumpy..i think
How is the overall experience...i mean the checking in, flight journey, etc as compared to Delta? Pros and cons...anyone?

One more question, what is the cost of taking a cab from the airport to WDW...inclusive of tolls, tips etc? Is it safe generally?

Thanks ahead!

We have flown Jet Blue 3 times and love it. The planes are all new and not small, they have leather seats and Direct-TV in every seat. They serve a choice of 4-5 different snacks and drinks on the flight. The employees are all very friendly and courteous, they reminded me of Disney CM's.

We have also flown Delta in the past, which was nice but Jet Blue far exceeded them at all levels.

Good luck with your decision and search!
