we fly out at 2:15 PM from LAX back home ... staying at the fairfield... we will be doing the Disney shuttle back and forth, do we call that day, or make plans before that day for them to pick us up for our return trip??
Do they have set times that they pick up?? we are taking a small plane out ( allegiant air) so need to be there Im sure 2 hours early. How long does it take this shuttle to get all the folks and head to the airport? ( I hear they go to the Disneyland hotel ) We have already paid for this thru get away today, not sure how it all works at all
Any info and help would be appreciated :)

You're taking the Disneyland Express bus? If so, then there are specific times that they pick up for trips to the airport. There is a printable schedule on their website that will show you the different times that they pick up and when that bus will be at the Airport. I have the schedule right here and it looks like the best pick up time for your 2:15 flight would be at 10:40 A.M. which will arrive at the airport at 12 noon. That will give you enough time to make your flight. The schedule that I have says that the pick up area for your hotel is out on Harbor Blvd., so make sure you check into this so that you are at the right place for the shuttle. You won't have to call for pick up because your stop is a regular one that they will automatically stop at. :-) (Some hotels are not regular stops and are listed as "on call" and you'd have to call and schedule a pick up, but yours is an automatic stop). :-)

I took the DLR Express for my most recent trip and here's what to keep in mind:

If you are being picked up offsite, the bus will be a Coach America bus. On the windshield, there will be a 'DLR Express' sign. That will take you to DLH, drop you off there, then you'll wait momentarily for another bus to LAX. Make sure you're standing on the curb and if you see the bus, you can give it a wave. Communicate with the drivers and they'll let you know where to go.

Good point.....I literally "missed the bus"... LOL... because I didn't see the small sign in front and was looking for the regular Disneyland Express bus that had brought us to the hotel. They had to turn around to get us after I called them and they weren't very happy about it! :)

Yeah, haha, we actually missed our bus too. It was weird because we were watching the street the whole time, but we must have missed it, because we had to end up catching the next one.

Oh good....I'm not the only one. :) I saw the bus pull up to the curb, but I never saw the front of the bus. I only saw the Coach America sign on the side and I wasn't aware they used those busses. It was our first time ever using that company and the only bus we had been on was the regular Disneyland Express one. I'm glad that you were able to get the next bus and that everything worked out. I don't think we would've made our flight on time if I had to take the next one, so I'm glad they came back for us. :) I was pretty embarrassed though, because the driver wasn't happy and I think everyone on the bus knew that. :)
