Hi, I'm planning a trip and just was wondering what everyone thought of the new flights of passage ride in AK. Is it like Soaring where you get lifted off the ground or does it stay on the ground but on a screen? I've read a little about it but am confused.

You are not lifted up, but you do get the sensation of flying. Myself and my entire crew thought it was awesome.

It stays on the ground - the floor in front drops down though - I was nervous about it and immediately wanted to ride again. It was amazing.

I absolutely love it! It's kind of like a hybrid between Soarin and Star Tours, only more smooth, with a stronger sensation of flying.

As others have said it stays on the ground, looks kind of like motorcycles. You sit on them and kind of lean forward then the back moves toward you. My son loves it, I don't. The glasses are way too big so the first few times we rode it, I had to hold them with one hand. I got smart and wore a cloth headband last time and tucked them into it so no problem there other than looking funny. It isn't as bad as Star Tours but worse than Soarin.
