We are in the process of planning our trip on the Magic for next May. A question -- if we book our own flights instead of booking through DCL, do we then have to get our own transfers to the ship?
You can purchase the transfers from DCL separate and give them your flight information. They will provide you with luggage tags and you will get a voucher to board the DCL buses at the airport.
We booked our own air and decided to fly in a day early so we don't lose most of our first day at WDW. We purchased the transfers through DCL, but since we are now flying in a day early we are cancelling the first leg of the transfer (MCO to WDW) and booking a towncar through Happy Limo. At this point we are still planning to use the transfers to the Wonder and back to MCO.
Our TA and everything I've read on these boards make me wonder if anyone uses Disney's air.
