Don't know if this has been flagged up but we've just booked a flight from Dublin which, including the connecting flights to Dublin, was over £100 each cheaper than from Manchester. Worth a look!

Another point to note.

Free seat selection .

1 Luggage Case ( 23 kg ) per person at no cost

Clear Customs & Immigration at Dublin.

Yes you might have a long stay over time before flight back to

U.K. from Dublin after evening flight from Orlando

We have booked with Aer lingus but been unable to make seat selections. Would you have any idea why? Do we need to phone them?

I would ring them we can never book seats as we need special assistance with one of our party so always have to ring. They always sort us out with seats very helpful :).

I booked my Feb flights to NYC with Aer Lingus and my seat selections weren't free! It was between £5-£36 to pick a seat depending on leg room!

I just didn't choose, I'll let them seat me wherever at the airport as I'm flying by myself it doesn't matter :)

Hi Wilma Bride,

You should have been given the choice of Free seat selection as you booked

NOTE You pay for extra Leg room seats ( Shaded area on seat plan )

AND pay for Exit seats .

The Free seats are Green Colour .

If you did your own booking in the section for Dublin Orlando

Section 3 Price ... top right will show a pop up for Seat check

You can SEE where you would like to sit in the Free Green coloured seats After your PAX details & Credit Stuff done YOU will be
given seat selection

You click on the Seats you have Viewed and they are added to your Reference ticket

Hope this Helps.

Over the last few years we've flown from Dublin with a few airlines (united, delta, air france, usairways) and have always been able to select seats free of charge.

The price difference between Dublin and Scottish airports normally more than covers the flights to Dublin from Edinburgh and a night in a hotel....its quite unbelievable...at Christmas the total saving per person was over £250!!.

Its well worth it for us (although this year the prices seem to have gone up a bit so we're trying direct from Glasgow with Virgin for a change)

The only things I'll miss are the pre clearance at Dublin (its fab ) and being able to get off the plane halfway through the flight. But we arrive in Mco about 5 hours earlierthan normal so it'll be good to get settled into the condo at a decent hour instead of grabbing takeaway pizza on the way and heading to bed :coffee:
